To me a dirty player is one that doesn't respect other players nor care about their health. Matt Cooke (at least the old version if you believe he's changed), Ulf Sammuelsson, Raffi Torres,..etc are dirty players in my books. They have all carelessly (and purposefully in some cases) injured other players sometimes seriously.

Has Marchand ever actually injured another player to the point where that player missed games? Has he been suspended for dirty hits? I can't remember.

I don't consider Marchand dirty. I consider him someone that likes to aggravate the opposition, sometimes by doing stuff that deserves penalties. I don't think he wants to or tries to injure others.
Sami Salo on the low bridge last year. He got suspended for it too...

Ah, totally forgot about that. Would have to review it on YouTube to see how that went down. Off the top of my head I don't remember of that was a reaction by Marchand or if he actually tried to take out Salo and make him hurt. Hopefully Marchand was just trying to take him out of the play, not the game.

Marchand must have been hurt earlier in the playoffs. He's back to being in regular season form now.

I'm pretty fed up with his dooshey attempts to take out legs/knees of players. That hit on Kunitz last night was bush.

Smarten up, Brad.

concur, Ron-Dizzle - I'm okay with him pushing the line, but he's been over it lately, imo.

Yeah I hated that. No need for it, completely bush league, dirty play.

Yep.

Time for a graphic reminder from the Department of Stern Warnings on Causway... he's been on the league's radar and they won't blink an eyelash in suspending his greasy ass for any remotely dirty infraction.

"But I think that's when [Marchand's] at his best, when he's playing his game and being a little rat out there. It seems to work. He gets under guys' skins pretty easily. I don't know if it's because he's ugly or he says good things. It works for him and he's always playing a good game offensively, as well."

He crossed the line on several occasions in game three, which disappointed me. I like that he gets guys off their game, but loathe when he goes too far. Leave that to the gutless pukes on Pittsburgh.

I'd be happy with 1 coming in a 0-0 game while in OT, but that's just me.

We need several players to step up on the score sheet, and he is one.

Krechci, Horton, Jagr, March, Seguin, we need all of them to start getting
their name on the score sheet, and consistently. If not, their their
name does not get on the cup a second time.

How is he "neutered"? Guy can't handle or make a simple pass, that's it. He makes too many stupid moves near the top of both zones.

He really needs to step up his game. I agree, he's been really bad this series. Not sure what his deal is.
