Stupid. But far from being what's wrong with everything.

"Freedom of religion" is different from "freedom from religion." That part killed me though. What a crock of ****.

this is probably the most sensible thing i've ever read in a comments section though

Quote:
Freedom of religion inherently includes freedom from religion. I am free to believe in any religion I choose. That inherently includes the freedom to choose no religion and to not have someone else force their religion on me. On the other hand, someone saying "Merry Christmas" certainly does not bother me, just as someone praying for me does not bother me. If someone believes in God, and asks the God they believe in to look after me, I take that as a compliment. They are just doing what they think is right; nothing wrong with that. Even though I am Agnostic, I celebrate Christmas. I don't believe Christ was necessarily the son of God, or that God even exists, but I think Christ was a really good person and a good role model. I don't see someone saying Merry Christmas as them trying to force their religion on someone else. So, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukha, and Happy Festivus!

I am so sorry how dare they not consult you.

Reminded me. My friend adopted a puppy and allowed his 3 year old to name him. They live near Tampa and are Lightning fans. I expected maybe a Stammer... Or Marty. He names him....... Crosby.

Well I have 2 golden retrievers as well. One named Brodie and one names Ellie. Got them before the Stanley Cup finals run last year and it would've just been that much sweeter if we won in the first year of me getting them and honoring 2 of the greatest Devils of all time with their names.

Quitting my job next friday. Can't handle the Monday-through-Friday Overnight-Shift(12 am - 8 am) anymore. It's taken a big toll on me health-wise.

Looks like I'll be job-hunting once again. Joy.

Free gin and tonics, free kayaking, what's next - free sex with models?

My gf has informed me that she's officially a hockey fan and that her favorite team is the Blackhawks. I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed that she's a bandwagoner. Lol

A bandwagon hockey fan is better than a hockey hater. You should be proud but also actively try to make her a Devils fan.

I just ordered ice skating parachutes from a Chinese wholesale seller. Seems risky, but the price is literally a tenth of what it costs if I buy it here. Wonder if this works, I did sprints with that stuff and it is the best speed training I ever had.

Well you're not me. It's not that simple. And it's not like I was intending to quit. I have some health issues that have arisen as a result of working constant overnights which forced me into this decision.

Regardless, I've been job-hunting ever since.
