I'm a bit afraid that the team is content after todays victory, just the same as happen during the WJCs a few years ago when we beat Canada.

If both Sweden and Switzerland ends up losing their semi-finals I might cheer for the Swiss, I really hope that they can secure a medal in this tournament.

Switzerland might be the only team which actually played like a NHL All-Star-Team. They're the only team which actually earns a medal.

That said, I hope that the Final will be U.S. and A vs. Sweden.

Finland and USA.

Mostly because USA tends to play well against Finland in recent years

Our team has already exceeded my expectations so I can just sit back and relax, whatever happens. Rookie goaltender, half the team rookies, one NHL-guy...and we get to semis :-)

I picked USA and Sweden. USA for obvious reasons, and Sweden because they're the only team left that has a Sabres player (Enroth).

What else can you pick but Sweden and USA?

Sweden will be the favorite and Finland will be the underdog. A typical situation. Will be an epic battle no doubt about that.

So when was the last time we won a medal in the WC? Back in 96 when we beat the Russians for the Bronze with Richter in net?

Finland are underdogs, Swiss - USA is pretty even matchup. USA might be the first really TEAM that the SWISS will face.

This is great opportunity for Finland to go for the Final.

I used to be like that but not anymore...I will watch that game in calm state of mind. Kummola have killed the fan emotions in me. I kinda hope USA or Swiss' take the gold.

I hope for a SUI-FIN finale. This would give us the opportunity to beat CAN, SWE, CZE (2x), FIN and USA in 1 tournament. Unreal.

SVK and RUS are due in Sochi!

Sweden has 9 NHL reinforcement players and several of them stars, we have 2 NHL players and zero stars. This is assuming that you can count Granlund as a NHL player even when he is really an AHL player, though. Add to that fact our 2/3 rookie team (14 rookies!) and the pressure is on Sweden, they should win this hands down.

Only 13 rookies, since I don't think you can count Jormakka as a part of this team?

Send a message via ICQ to LiveeviL
It would be good for the sport with Swiss in the finals, hoping for that.

Somehow I can't understand it, as Gerber played awesome.
But well, Simpson knows what he's doing. I have faith in Berra as well.

Well Berra has the better statistics I would prefer so, so that Gerber can have a day of rest for the final sunday evening

Yeah, it's a good idea to go with a rested goalie into the medal games. And Berra can also lead us into the final, no question.
