granted, i didn't watch the leafs nearly as much as the hawks, but i dont remember seeing much of kessel and kadri together...

It's too bad he can't just turn the Xbox off and start over. That team was dismantled so quickly.

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger 2m

Smith's extension with the Coyotes is still being finalized. Sounds like closer to $5.7 per year x 6 yrs.

That is an absolute brutal overpayment by Yotes ,, Brutal

It's what they have to pay to keep him, not what he's worth

what a joke. he should be grateful that when that joke of a team is moved, it's likely to be to seattle, not QC...b/c the nasty Cdn/QC media would have a field day over a guy like that consistently under performing (which we know he will) a contract that size.

Not a fan of that Smith deal either.

Should be a few big moves today. Wonder who gets the dominoes falling.

Letang is not that good. Pens won't win anything without a good D and Letang is not that #1 D

Bobrovsky wants 6M+ for 2 years ,, Jackets are balking and put him on block

Major mistake IMO ,, Bobrovsky is worth it and at only 2 years the Jackets have built in defense if he falters as they can walk away in two years

the fact its a short deal makes it better, but still, he's asking for elite money for playing very well for 35 games...

Didn't say he was worth it, said he is allowed to ask for it. You strike while the iron is hot, it won't get much hotter for Bob.

Well as pointed out in a league that sees Mike Smith getting 5.75M and Rask about to get 7M

Bob asking for 6M+ isn't unreasonable. Especially when he has a 3 yr / 30M offer from KHL he would be turning down

and that means a guy whos been inconsistent for 3 years but put together one HALF season of good play should make top dollar? i think not. just not how teams get and remain successful. again, 2 years makes the deal somewhat okay, but cbj doesn't strike me as a franchise willing to shell put top dollar like that.
