Though I do know someone who's going, sounded like either section 113 or 101 (center ice), 3rd row somewhere. Too low for me, I like to see action with some angle

I found out where I will be... Section 115 Row 5.... Im sort of mad that I am going to the game that is getting shown on Tv since I could go to one that is not and see 2 games instead of one but meh who cares im going to a game and im happy. But I agree seats with an angle on the ice are the best because you can see all the way down the ice and your ussually looking the same way.

I was..... but it's back now. It seems to cut out and come back occasionally - frustrating, but it's better than nothing.

It's 3-1 in favor of the Phantoms after 2 periods of play.

Phantoms opened up with 2 in the first (Ready, Carter) and took a 3-0 lead (Sim) midway through the second. Providence cut the lead to 3-1 around the 15:00 mark at the tail end of a 4:00 PP to Skolney.

Great news, best of luck with the Wolves. Sounds like Cater, Richards, Niittymaki, Eager and company are playing well. Too bad I can't see these games live. Let's hope the Wolves announcer is much better than Providence's.

What's that?

Anyway, I listened to a few seconds of Chicago's archived broadcast of the Manitoba series, and it's pretty much the same quality as Providence's were. Packets are larger and transmitted less often, so it should drop out considerably less, but will take longer to buffer.

Anyone listen to WIP after the game? The guy was calling the AHL a bush league and wasn't giving the Phantoms any credit. I don't know his name but I'd really like to send him an email or something, just to see if he'd write back. Anybody know who the Sunday night guy is on WIP?

Doesnt surprise me one bit about WIP. On the one hand, the AHL *IS* the minor leagues. On the other hand if it were any other minor league team (Riversharks, Arena football) they would be jumping up and down like a bunch of monkeys with hard ons. They just dont understand hockey, and hate having to talk about it even when its the Flyers, going deep in the playoffs.

It'll be a good series. The Wolves just smothered the Moose offense, but we have more to throw at them than Manitoba did. Their goalie is stellar too, can't spell his name

Absolutely. That station is HORRIBLE with anything other than football. And since I have no interest in football, I don't even know that they're any good with that. I would love nothing better than to see the Flyers split from WIP completely and move to a more viable alternative.

WIP couldn't give a crap about the Riversharks or Soul. You'd get a few phone calls about the Soul, and the hosts would say "that's nice. What else did you want to talk about?"

No they wouldn't. All WIP cares about are the major league sports. I have never heard them talk about minor league sports at all.

Quite frankly, it's more of an Eagles station more than anything else.

Batt, exactly what "alternative" would you like the Flyers to look at? ESPN radio where if there is one cloud in the sky you can't get any kind of decent reception?

Also, there are two guys who absolutely know hockey in Morganti and Macnow.

Still a pretty pathetic crowd of just 8,000 for a conference finals clincher.

BTW, can the Flyers PLEASE get rid of Steve Coates. He is just unbearable to listen to. I had to mute the tv because of his inane ramblings.
