Between he, Niitymaki and Lehtonen, you have three of Finland's greatest young goalies all competing in the AHL playoffs right now...how awesome is that?

Not to mention young stud Tuuka Rask impressing scouts, Kipprusoff leading his team to one game from the Stanley Cup.... Finland's goalie situation looks very, very good right now, and for the future.

You've also got Mika Noronen, Vesa Toskala and Ari Ahonen.
Also Teemu Lassila has been a star in Finland.

It is awesome! I'll be following these series with keen interest.
Anyone know where i can get good tickets for game 1 or 2. I want row 1 ice level seats, but on phantoms.com(ticketmaster) there all gone. If u have any info bout this please let me know.
As for the puck, P-Bruins are banged up and the time off will have to be very good to them or else they're be dependent on Toivonen and their awesome powerplay.
The Phantoms are pretty deep, this series will come down to the goaltending.
Toivonen will hjave to stand on his head like he's been doing all playoffs for Providence to move on. But Carter and Richards have been hot, this should be interesting to watch.
IMO, the biggest question mark for the Phantoms is defense with Seidenberg out. Nitty will be strong, particularly if the shots are kept to the perimeter. If he gets lit up it will be because he isnt getting enough protection around the net. Teams with good goalies scare me most. Doesnt matter how crappy the rest of them play, it only takes one guy on a hot streak to take over the series, which Toivonen is quite capable of doing.

Seids is back but he's still babying the hand so he cant be counted on to run the pp. Joni Pitkanen played his best game of the season earlier so he's capable of putting the pieces together, we're going to need him to repeat his success for the offense to breakout.

Just talked to my ticket rep about Saturday's game. All first row ice level seats are sold out. He was a little peeved that he couldn't get us first row seats because we were the first ones to leave him a message about those seats. He thinks that they're being bought up by ticket brokers, so if that's all you want, try a broker.
I know a lot of Providence fans were reserving tickets the second they went up by 2 goals against Lowell on Saturday. Maybe that's why you're having a hard time finding seats?
Have to go with the Phantoms in six. Phantoms have more goal scorers than Providence and the new arrivals (Carter & Richards) have been playing outstanding. They have one of the best bluelines in the AHL while the Bruins look to be just average in that department. Philly has the talent and drive to win it in 6.

Are you sure Philly has more scorers than Providence? Both teams have gotten goals from 15 different players... both teams have played 11 post-season games... Providence has 39 goals and 62 assists... Philly has 37 goals and 61 assists.
The top four goal-scorers on Philly have scored 21 of their 37... Providence's top 4 goal-scorers have scored 18 of their 39 and for Philly, a single player has scored 9 of those 21... sounds to me like there's more balanced scoring across the P-Bruins line-up. If the P-Bruins can find a way to shut down Jeff Carter, which could be (but might not be) problematic, given how porous the P-Bruins' defense is capable of playing at times, the P-Bruins may well have a very decent shot at getting a few past Nittymaki, because there are scoring threats coming from a variety of sources, and not just a small few.
Both teams are talented, and Philly definitely had the upper hand on Providence when they met in the regular season. The P-Bruins, however, have proven quite well that they have the talent and the drive to win as well, having ousted two teams that few expected them to get by in the first place.
Regardless of which team wins, I don't believe it will be a blowout.
Jurcina – Alberts
Leach – Filipowicz
Dallman – B Thompson
This was what they rolled in the last series…currently out of the line up are Dan LaCouture (second line wing) and Martin Samuelsson (fourth line wing). They have been replaced by Nate Thompson and Jeff Daw.
