After the game, MTV3 started showing some sort of a recap/documentary of the 2011 championship and the celebration that followed.

That is so unintentionally sad. "Shh, it'll be alright, remember when we won?"

He was in the studio throughout the game. He is basically on every single time there is a SWE-FIN match.

I was pretty occupied pre-game. I think he had a speech before the game where he said something about a kitten that has grown into a lion that will swallow it's prey. Some Swede that was paying attention can perhaps explain what he was on about

I like him, very entertaining

Yeah, and Wikegård told him not to push it.

On another note, Mårts got to go. Even if we win the gold medal. It was the right thing to do giving him the chance but it's obvious that he's just not the right for this job.

Congratulations Sweden, the better team won today

We had our chances but couldn't bury them with skill and couldn't bury them with luck.
Special teams were what decided the game and that's were the skill level difference between the teams came to play.

Anyways, I am not disappointed at all in this "team of nobodies". They proved me wrong by getting this far in the first place and actually playing a good semifinal on top - with a few bounces going differently, this game was totally winnable.

Good luck to Sweden in the finals!

How did C Oscar Lindberg play today? Usual shutdown role and PK time?

Kaj Kunnas is a strange man. I have mixed feelings about him.

He's like Pierre McGuire. Just bigger ears.

What a boring game but good luck to Sverige!
Maybe it's your turn to hoist the trash bin this year

Comes to mind that our coaching staff had rolled some films about the Sedins and how they are to watched out for.

There was too much respect there and it was worst in the PK.

I think coaches have to let the players play but Jalonen comes out a control freak with his system and stats, he is slow to react inside a game.
It took him until today to move Granlund as 2C, im happy he is leaving.

Anyone else?

I don't even care that we lost. As I said before the game, Sweden had the better material and you can only compensate for the lack of quality up to a certain point. We hit that point today, nothing too surprising about it.

I also think this team truly played its best game too early into the tournament (the Russia game). You're supposed to save the best games for last, but that didn't work out this time.

I think JJ has done a good job but I'm definitely ready for a change. I'm eager to see how Erkka will change our style. He was a great coach in Turin but our core is weaker nowadays so we'll see...

That's utter bullcrap. They were obviously better because they won the game but the difference was not big at all. I don't know which game you were watching. We had no answer to the top line of Sweden but otherwise created a lot of really good chances. Lack of finishing did us in and that's hardly surprising given the roster of rookies and zero star forwards (or even top 6 NHL fowards) and zero NHL defensemen.

Don't think I've ever seen such passive Finnish PK, they are usually solid and pesky as hell. Let's just hope USA doesn't blow us away in the final now...

How do you think Summanen would get along with the some of our extremely stubborn and strong-willed NHL players? I don't think he'd have much trouble with the kids, but there are a few guys (not mentioning any names ) that I don't want to see play under Summanen, because that wouldn't work.
