Not the worst thing in the world as a part time enforcer

Random, but he's one of my favorites. Great in the community and with the fans. Great fights too. Happy to see him still getting work as the need for the goon is getting fazed out.

This is a 'chemistry' signing. The Isles will be getting younger next season with the expected promotions of several prospects. The Isles have a tight knit locker room (from all reports) and Boulton knows his role and sticks up for the kids when needed.

I have no problem with this signing.

He's still in the NHL?

Sounds like Boulton. Love the guy. Have a lot of respect for him.

I love this.

I've been a big Eric Boulton fan for a while since his days in Buffalo. He flies under the radar as a tough guy for some reason (not getting the recognition that other guys get for some reason), but he gets into some of the best fights every year.

He's a great guy in the locker room and he has decent hockey skills if you watch him play. His positioning is fine out there and he's a decent skater.

I was excited when my team (Devils) signed him 2 years ago and I'm happy that he's still in the NHL. Good move by Garth Snow.

He got the contract for reasons stated prior in this thread, however the 4 dead on shots to the face
Of Colton Orr a few weeks back was enough for me

I'll never understand the venom some fans have against signing a 13th forward that can protect his team mates. So he gets a few shifts a game for 20 games and someone has to be double shifted. Big deal..... he wasn't signed to play on the top line. Get over it

Ah yes, the last guy to get a hat trick for the Thrashers/Jets. 2.5 years ago.

It basically means that the players are very close to each other and are united. The young core of the Islanders have pretty much gotten their butts kicked for the last several years, but they got their butts kicked together. That can galvanize and strengthen relationships.

F.y.I. All.
Tim Thomas, evgeni nabakov,Tomas vokoun,Johan hedberg, and John grahame,Were all drafted in the same round of the same year as Eric boultonA couple others too. This could be the greatest round ever in any year for goalies. Just my opinion

It means that they are friends outside work. Some people think this is war and they need to trust one another like brothers.
