Build A Team Around Your Favorite Player

1.) You can pick any player, from any season, any era.

2.) You can only have 3 all-stars on your team. The rest of the roster must be role players or players that were not all-stars that year.

3.) You can go with 2 lines (Offensive and defense) minimum, and the rest if you want.

*** Could include stats, style of play, reasons for picks if you want

Just an idea to have some fun with it.

When you say "all-stars" do you mean "ASG" or do you mean postseason?

Cool. I'll take the entire roster of the New York Rangers in 62, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7.

Fired it together quickly..... might want to change the rules. Earl Seibert was voted a post-season all-star 10 times in a row, but never played in an all-star game...

Toe Blake - Wayne Gretzky - Gordie Howe
Syd Howe - Frank Nighbor - Hooley Smith

Bobby Orr - Earl Seibert
Hod Stuart - Dit Clapper

George Vezina

I'm not sure, but don't the 2007 Ducks qualify?

So "pick any player from any season, but they can't have ever been an all-star except for three players on the team" is the rule?

Am I understanding this correctly?

no, you can have only 3 all-stars from that year.

Hes basically saying your picking your favorite player and 1 particular year

So, for example my team is built around 1998-99 Mats Sundin

Berezin-Sundin-Mogilny
Titov-Forsberg-Satan
Ward-Peca-Varada
Maltby-Draper-Ray

Woolley-Foote
Neidermayer-D.Hatcher
Shannon-Desjardins
McLaren

Hasek
Puppa

I decided to build around 1997 Steve Yzerman.

Lemieux*/Francis/Jagr
Fedorov/Yzerman*/Lindros*
Forsberg/Sakic/Modano
Lehtinen/Otto/Peca

Pronger/Konstantinov
Lidstrom/Sydor
Foote/Desjardins

Osgood
Richter

Go ahead... try to win a faceoff. And if you ever manage to get the puck, go ahead and try to score.

Sanderson-LaFontaine-Mogilny
Roberts-Sundin-Verbeek
Tikannen-Hunter-C.Lemieux (try messing with anyone on my team)
Kypreos-Carbonneau-Guerin

Bourque-Yuskevitch
Suter-Samuelsson
Niedermayer-Numminen

Potvin
Stauber
