Those are standard AHL rules, so I wouldn't read anything into it.

For those who haven't seen Rattie's points in the Memorial Cup so far...

Assist #1 @ Halifax Mooseheads

Goal #1 @ Halifax Mooseheads

Assist #2 @ Halifax Mooseheads

Goal #2 @ London Knights

Assist #3 @ London Knights

Goal #3 @ London Knights

Edit: Armstrong has announced we've signed Lundström (which we all knew), but no confirmation where he will play next season.

Wow. That toe-drag goal was amazing. The drag was one thing, but to finish the way he did was the icing on the cake.

This goal makes me sad he was used in a defensive role in the World Juniors. Surely was great for his development, but I wanted to see him score, dammit!

thanks for the highlights. I'm glad to see rattie creating offense on his own it seem liked all his goals last year were a two one with bartchsi passing him the puck for a one timer. not sure how well that toe drag will work in the nhl, would hate for him to constantly try that like tank tries to jump around the defender.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It might be a pretty highlight, but there's no way an NHL goalie will give up that second goal. I'm surprised it worked in juniors to be honest. The first goal seemed legit though.

I hope he adds to his repertoire. That toe drag stuff can be super effective, especially if he develops a drag snap-shot where he doesn't go to the backhand and also a fake like he's going to drag but then pushes it back to his forehand for a walk around the d-man/shot. Don't be like Tank in the second half of the season where all he did was cut to the middle lol.

yeah for both tank and rattie if they have 3 or 4 moves than every single move will be more effective because a defender cant cheat all expecting that move. that being said rattie does look to have a damn good shot. and really great vision, his first assist to jones while an easy pass and play not everyone would have seen the play. im excited for this kid.

Every time I get to see Rattie's highlights, I wonder why people bring up his size so much. Just looking at the videos, I can tell he'll put on 10 lbs in his legs alone when he goes pro. The kid's size is a non-issue.

Thanks for posting the videos.

People bring up Rattie's size because he was a waif when the Blues drafted him. But he's 6' and like normal kids growing into a man's body he'll pack on more weight on his frame and it'll be a non-issue once he goes through a couple more summers. One more summer probably gets him into condition to play pro fine, a summer after that and he'll be like Perron, who is much more physically built than people realize.

Rattie with another goal (4G, 3A in 3gp) in Portland's win over Saskatoon tonight.

So Rattie and Portland play tomorrow's Saskatoon/London winner on Friday, and if they win they play Halifax for the Memorial Cup on Sunday.

NEXT DAY EDIT: Portland vs. London tonight for the right to play Halifax Sunday for the Cup.

Rattie breaks a 1-1 third period tie with a goal to send Portland to the Memorial Cup final against Halifax on Sunday. Kid's had clutch in him his entire junior career. There's no doubt he's Memorial Cup MVP if Portland wins even if he didn't score in the final.

Kid has that "it" factor. Great news, I'll be rooting for him come Sunday.

Rattie may prove to be more of a sniper than anyone on the roster.

Really I think I have more faith in Rattie being more of an impact player then Jaskin. Jaskin used his size in the CHL a lot. Rattie seems to have an amazing shot and hockey sense.

Doesn't make Jaskin a non impact player/scorer just means that Rattie is more of a sniper.

In Sweden, I'd guess. The Wolves will only have room for one Blues' goaltender. And Evansville will probably only have room for one Blues' goaltender, as well. Halak (or a replacement), Elliott, Allen, Binnington and Karpowich will all need places on pro teams in North America (unless Halak or Elliott is traded AND Allen is named The Blues' NHL backup, The Blues will already need to play 5 goalies in The Pros, with room for only 4, WITHOUT Lundström. There's no room at all for The Swede this season. He's probably better served to play in The Alsvenskan or SEL rather than The ECHL.

Watching Rattie snipe corners is just an absolute treat. Reminds me of Perron in his first 3 years in the league.

Rattie and the Winterhawks aren't looking good thus far. Down 2-0 in the first.

Winterhawks end up losing 6-4. Rattie with a goal, 3 assists & +2.
