Sutter is the only guy really struggling to find himself so far. He's been bad just about every game.

The similarities offensively between a young Jordan Staal and Brandon Sutter are striking. The thing with Sutter, I think he has a real good shot, and some things he can do with the puck are pretty slick. I've definitely seen him dangle some guys. What he does need though are guys to feed off of on his line. He's not feeding off anything on his line right now. That's why I'd like to see Jokinen or Bennett paired up with him to give that line a creative dimension.

It seems like the age gap between Staal and Sutter should be more than 5 months.

It does. I don't know if Sutter will ever be a good 2nd line center, but I think he can definitely be a great 3rd line center who can bring some real good scoring depth to a team.

Sutter's defense so far is exactly what we need this playoffs:

5 on 5 GAA/60 = 0.57
4 on 5 GAA/60 = 0.00

Since we are averaging 4.12 goals/game on offense, I'd much rather him be a force defensively than pile on any additional offense. Don't forget last season's playoffs when Staal tried to assert himself offensively and lost interest in defense.

I'd like him to stay on his ****ing skates when battling for loose pucks. Hopefully the kid is just adjusting to playoff intensity. Otherwise, he needs to add some muscle in the offseason.

lots of speculation that Jokinen has been hurt. he wore the non-contact jersey in practice the other day, and Yohe doesn't think he's healthy. never gonna hear that from the team, but all clues point to that being the case.

I can't think of any other reason he wouldn't be in with Vitale not able to go tonight.

I don't think Glass was a bad option though but I would've preferred Bennett over glass. Really just depends what DB wants to make his 4th line, either a pure checking line or have some more scoring talent

glass is a terrible option because he brings nothing good to the table.

Glass is also a terrible option because he isn't even trusted to play 10 minutes in a game that goes to double overtime. In turn, we end up overplaying our other 11 forwards and tiring them out.

When the fourth line was Adams-Vitale-Kennedy, the ice time was much more balanced for our forwards. Sid wasn't even hitting 20.

It just feels stupid that he is not playing after being very hot in the regular season and good in those 4 games in playoffs. Is it normal or is there many cases in recent history that someone plays with non-contact jersey and is totally healthy?

Games like last night where you cannot get a goal, having some secondary scoring in your bottom 6 is huge.

I'd put him on the 3 rd line and move Sutter to line 4

Solid sources tell me that Jokinen is battling an injury and the team isn't talking about it. He won't be played unless ABSOLUTELY needed.

Resigning Iginla and Dupuis AND keeping Bylsma as coach would be worse than just letting Iginla walk.

Does anyone else think he would work on Malkins wing? And help him out on faceoffs too?

Glass might be the most useless player left in the playoffs.

Glass made a very nice play to tuck the puck under Vokoun during a mad scramble that very nearly produced a Senators goal last night.

That is what Josh Yohe said in an interview today.
