Here is an article discussing the type of draft that many are speculating will take place...

I think the teams that missed the playoffs for two years should be included.

Yeah I dont think any of the playoff teams of the past 2 seasons should even get a chance at Crosby.

Why doesnt Bettman just come out and say it. He wants Crosby in a big market like NY.

Yea because 3/52 is such a high % chance
.

Guess this is better then just giving it to Washington.

Lets start praying boys... God can you see this kid with Frolov on the LW for the next 8 to 10 years....

I agree...it wouldnt be fair to allow WA to have 2 first round picks for one crappy season without allowing every team to have a chance....

I think he would rather have him save the Rangers or Chicago.

Chicago and New York made their own beds, now let them lie in it.

I could really see him wanting Crosby in LA because it would help us to really sell the game. We all know that once a team becomes trendy in LA the entire league benefits and there are two ways to bring in sports fans in LA. Have superstars or win. We can have Crosby for half the season, then he'll get hurt and we'll lose and only the diehards'll be there after that...... but man, what a great first 41 games that would be huh?

Hmm... 3.85% chance under one system... 3.33% chance if it was completely random. Too bad there's no system out there to give us any better chance

Whoever wins the lottery gets Crosby. They will pick Crosby. A trade just isn't going to happen no matter how crazy of a trade package the Kings or any other team could make.

even if the team that got the #1 was willing to part with it, LA would have to part with a large part of their future. Frolov and Cammy to start IMO.

Frolov, No
Brown, No
Gleason, No

All of the other youth. Sure i'm not going to cry to much if we trade Cammy, our 1st, 2nd, kichen sink for Crosby.

well it would never happen but if it only did cost Gleason and Cammi along with 2 No1's and Grebs I'd do it ASAP.

wow...thats 5 good/great prospects right there...but i guess its a no brainer since you're trading 5 guys who may of may not pan out for a guy who's probably going to be a hall-of-famer...

thats if all the hype is true

So you want to trade Gleason a top 2 defender Grebs a potential #1 defender Camms who just got goal scoring title and second most pts and then 2 other 1st rounder which could be Kessel or Frolik then not sure about 2007 draft
