Last time I went to a playoff game, we were shut out by Ed Belfour. 59 and a half minutes into this one, I was certain that I was cursed and committed to never attending another playoff game.

But then... Alfie...

Can anyone tell me why Smith got a penalty for roughing? I missed the reason. I saw he hit Malkin but that's all I saw.

We need more gifs of Murray's reactions to the game. I felt they were the most hilarious part of the broadcast last night.

Are you serious? Surely there must have been something else. The hit looked perfectly fine to me.

He gave a little nudge to Malkin's helmet after the hit.

Nope even with the win there were brutal one sided ref calls last night. Lots of high sticks allowed to go against the Sens and then some pretty lame calls against the Sens. Of course we did get away with no Penalty shot for Malkin so maybe those refs were just f 'd up.

I do not think that the Spezza or Neil incidents should be reviewed (much like Grybas shouldn't have been a suspension).

Oh, ok. Didn't see it so I'm not gonna say its a bad call, but I'll take your word for it. Thanks.

For all the hate Karlsson has been getting on the main board for his defensive game, it's amusing this play has gotten little talk.

If Alfie is not HOF induced, I'll organize a riot

I don't care if he never wins the Stanley Cup. This guy is something else.

wow Alfie has so much experience, look at how fast he jumps on the ice

If you're a Sens and don't absolutely love this team, then you're never really going to be a true fan

Ahhh, I wish NBC showed Murray's reactions more often. I kept having to look at Lemieux

Murray is adorable and hilarious.

#27 Eric Furlatt
#24 Stephen Walkom

Seriously. Karlsson makes one bad play and the main board blows up. They don't even understand that he shouldn't even be back yet.

Yesterday, I thought the refs blew that and that it should have been a penalty shot. After watching it again today, I think they blew the call but in a different way. Methot swipes at the puck and misses while his body sends Malkin falling forward. Malkin did not get tripped. It was a body check that made him fall. Last time I checked, it was perfectly legal to check the puck carrier. Can't say I fault the refs on that one though. Cudos to the Sens for overcoming.

Thanks for the link. Did mine. I basically thought there were six penalties called that shouldn't have been, and three missed calls.

And if they're talking about he goal, and it was even mentioned by the 'analysts', and not mentioning 9MM... well then, as I said elsewhere, they're idiots. I hate when the game summary guys totally blow their play breakdown. That play was all Michalek. Even piling on Letang on the tying goal - there was a miscommunication and based on Letang's reaction it was clearly Geno's assignment there.

I haven't heard any "I don't understand what people see in Karlsson" talk. Anyone whose seen him play before the injury knows that they're watching a shadow of the player he really is.

Every single mistake Karlsson makes is mentioned on the main boards ... but Letang's go unnoticed. It really is like a second Pens GDT over there.
