What would it take to get one of these 3 to Montreal. They would be good players to put with Subban.

Sbisa is available. Something centered around Sbisa+ for Plekanec?

Montreal is better off with Plekanec than without.

Sbisa, while a nice piece, would fit in where?

Montreal 'd' signed for next year:
Gorges
Markov
Subban
Emelin
Diaz
Bouillon
+ one of Beaulieu, Tinordi, Pateryn who have showed progress and may make the NHL team next year. (Personally I see Tinordi as a 6th/7th 'd' with Montreal next year.)

Depends the + you are giving.

Pleks is important to Montreal so either a pretty big + or maybe something like Desharnais+.

Personnaly, if Sbisa comes, I would do:

Sbisa - Subban
Gorges - Diaz/Markov
Emelin - Tinordi
Bouillon

Trade 1 of Diaz/Markov.

It's gonna require Tinordi + 1st go get Staal or Corburn. Both are top tier defensive blueliners.

I don't think it would take that much for Coburn. I do like the Idea of Tinordi though.

Tinordi + Weber for Cobrun?

I wouldn't give tinordi straith up for coburn !! Tinordi will be a beast and he fit perfectly in mtl ... Is work ethic is number 1 !!

I wouldn't give plekanec for sbisa u less the + is big .... I would go desharnais + instead ... Cause value wise desharnais and sbisa are closer the. Plekanec and sbisa

Just shop for a D on the UFA market, it isn't going to be easy/palatable to trade for one.

Tinordi is exactly what Montreal needs in the future. If that is what it requires for Coburn then I dont think it is going to happen. For Staal I would think about it.

Something around Desharnais+ for Sbisa? Or what would the + be if it were for Pleks?

Concur. Staal is only available because Rangers have eventual, but not immediate, need to move some vets to make cap for McDonagh, etc., and can't part with 2 big numbers -- Nash or Lundqvist. But that doesn't mean he's being given away.

It's an auction. Your bid is as good as anybody else's. If higher, its better.

Tinordi + 1st looks right for Staal.
Other multiplayer combos can be had.

Including...

wait for it....

wait for it.......

You guessed it.

Prust!

He is still is a decent defenseman and shows flashes of brilliance, but his game hasn't expanded as fast as we had hoped. Given his youth and that he's signed to a reasonable contract, he's considered one of the best assets to move.

Additionally, we have lots of young defensive prospects in the pipeline (like Vatanen, Lindholm), etc. and we need someone who can play a complimentary role w/ Fowler, and can't be relied on to play that many minutes.

Veto. We need to add to Emelin/Tinordi/Subban, not replace. Diaz, Markov,Gorges, Kaberle,Bouillon and Weber are more expendable.

I agree but coburn is only a year older and has much more experience, he's big strong and exactly what we need that is a really fair offer

Sbisa is probably the only one available. Staal is one of maybe a dozen true #1 dmen in the league. Coburn is the most stable (health, age, play) of the Flyers returning Dmen.

Staal - Subban would be ridiculous.

Not sure if the Flyers are looking to move Coburn but they should. Flyers would probably need a young pmd and pick to equal the value

Philly has no reason to trade Coburn so why would they do it for anything short of overpayment. He's been one of the Flyers best playoff performers since 2008 and it isn't like he doesn't fit in long term.
