Handzus has been bleeping awful and its an embarrassment to the team to have him on the ice above the fourth line.

This was how I felt about him in San Jose too. Sharks fans told Blackhawks fans this was what they would see, but voila, 5 good games with Sharp/Kane and "Sharks fans gave us an inaccurate scouting report, wow, what jerks."

Maybe you should actually judge his game based on results. This is not figure-skating that you actually have to like his moves.
Bolland is nowhere close to Handzus in points, +/- or penalty minutes. Handzus taking more face-offs is still the 2nd best C on the team. After Toews.

Bolland's longest TOI was 14 min, where he managed 30% FO.

Handzus was 3x involved in scoring 1 goal of the game in these PO. None of them were a case where he by accident came to collect a point. All were decisions of a good player.

Truly embarrassing.

neither of them should play as #2 Center. Both don't belong. We are talking about who's the tallest midget here

Handzus is a quality 4th liner, but since all of our C's are pretty weak (outside of Toews) he has been one of the better options.

He is well worth the 4th rounder, and I would pay the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for Oduya and Handzus again if we needed to.

One nice play after a horrible turnover doesn't make Zues a solid top 6 option. Sweet mitts in tight though.

Evidently, Q disagrees with you about Handzus' place on this team.

He is a very good bottom six, but many people get fooled by his slow skating. When it comes to his stick-work he is absolutely top 6. He can land a flop pass from blue line to blue line.
Watch all his assists/plays or Bickell's goal in Game 5. Those are all plays of a high skilled player. Yes it is a pity that he is slow and has, what, 9 shots on goal

I agree, ideally 3rd line. But I still believe he has played very solid games until now, but he is not a point a game playoff performer as he was once. At least not yet

please, we all can see you are kind of a fanboy and from the same country but he plays for our team and you don't have to pimp up his trade value when we all see the same. We see a depth C that will be usefull every now and then but will disappear from time to time too. He is old and slow but with his experience he has kind of a better feeling for the game and positioning

Please, now we can all see that you see. Good for you Bubba, you earned a point as a hockey expert and a psychologist at the same time. I was more concerned about people claiming that he is embarrassment and why he is playing at all.

Obviously, some people see better options and this is to discussion. So let me add some, as I know the player. Or let me understand how would a German fan run the boards. I would love not to use stereotypes about uberfans.

He never was.
http://espn.go.com/nhl/player/stats/...michal-handzus

Only in 2010 he was close to ppg with 5 points in 6 games. In terms of points/games ratio he is about his long time average right now.

P.S. I'm his fanboy too

I like Handzus.

Just wanted to add that as he has as many goals as Toews does this playoffs.

(slow) Handzus is not 2C Hawks fans were demanding for, but he's OK for these playoffs.Another important assist tonight.

He cant skate anymore

But he still has hands/vision/Defense to contribute

Still wish we had a real #2 C (Or Sharp was in spot)
