Devils fan

Lou Lamoriello: C-

Lou did not fill the void that Zach Parise left. He signed Bobby Butler who turned out to be a flop here. We have a surplus of defensemen which he refused to trade for assets, Salvador extended for 3 years was ridiculous, and the defensemen carousel was a complete distraction because Pete Deboer sat young guys like Larsson and Fayne due to his surplus D.

The reason he doesn't get a D is because he acquired Loktionov for a 5th round pick which was a total steal.

Gillis in his entire time as a Canucks GM

B

Made a sick roster that took the Canucks to within one game of the Stanley Cup... If they could've won, his grade would be A+, but after these last two years, he hasn't made the greatest moves

Bergevin

B

He didn't make any flashy moves, didn't get help at the deadline but he signed solid players that took us from a lottery team to a playoffs team. Buying out Gomez was a must too although kind of obvious.

For this season or his entire time here?

This season - B
His entire time here - C

C being a middle of the road performance.

Poor returns for both Iginla and Bouwmeester. The ROR scandal. Putting together another losing team.

A+ Holmgren uses any and all measures to try to build the team as best as it possibly can be built. Our history at the draft espcially when it comes to first round forwards is exceptional going back to when he was simply the head scout to present times. He's not afraid to offersheet the best defensemen on the market. Routinely finds gems not drafted that can contribute at an NHL level. Rarely "loses" on trades and manages keep us under the cap year after year, while still being able to add to the team.

Trades and RFAs: A

UFAs: F+

Overall that makes Sather a C or C+. And he'd be an F---------------- in UFAs if not for Gaborik.

Nonis

B-

Didn't really do anything...re-upped Lupul, got Frazer McLaren...

Faces some tough decisions going forward with Kadri and Bozak entering free agency, and more distantly Kessel, Phaneuf, and Reimer.

Still need a top center and as much help as possible on defence.

Made some bad moves, such as a 1st for Campoli and some rentals that never worked out, but did a great job re-building our secondary scoring, defense and getting reliable goaltending. Also stocked the cupboards with prospects and young talent.

That's pretty much Nonis. There is a reason his nickname was No-nuts. He's more pragmatic than Burke but it comes at the cost of rarely taking any risks.

Giving Gillis a C as well, his last two seasons have not been great.

Oops, misread. If we're just going by this season, probably a D-.

Nonis:

B

Didn't make any big moves or anything, added Frazer McLaren and extended Lupul.

I liked what he did with the dead weight on the team though, got rid of Connolly and Lombardi to make spots for our prospects, particularly Kadri who had a great season.

I do feel good with him at the helm, seems like a smart guy and I think he's learned quite a few things since his Vancouver days and working under Burke for the last five years. Even if he hasn't done much as the actual GM thus far, he was an assistant with Burke for five years and had a large role in building this current squad.

Burke has even credited Nonis for being the facilitator behind many trades, including playing a huge part in the Phaneuf trade.

I know he was that way in Vancouver, but what exactly was he supposed to do with the Leafs this year? No GM really made any big moves or splashes, save for maybe Glen Sather and Ray Shero.

As I mentioned above, he's been integral in his role as an assistant and I think he's probably changed his style by learning from a guy like Burke.
