Mike Lundin - We hardly got to know you!

Mike Lundin has decided to sign with Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League, according to Sports.ruís Igor Eronko and the teamís site.
Does anybody care? Does anybody even know what number he wore?

Actually worked out well for the Sens. If he was healthy or if they had signed someone else we never would have got to see where Gryba and Weircioch were in their development this season, which may have prompted moves for next season that may not be necessary now.

Anyway, good luck Mike, hope everything works out for you and you manage to get back to NHL at some point in the future. Benoit did it, maybe you can too.

Injuries messed up his chances here. First getting injured during the lockout, then the concussion.

Hope he makes it back to the N at somepoint. Seemed like a real solid teammate.

He wore #10.

I don't know who was a worse #10, Marek Svatos or Mike Lundin.

Andreas Dackell is probably my favourite 10, just over Sean Donavan. I'm struggling to remember previous tens.

In the trainer's room. Talk about bad luck, from the finger so he missed the start of the season when things were raw and getting sorted out, to the concussion. He is a better player than we saw (not a high bar!), hope he has better luck. The KHL is a good place to get it sorted out and see if the concussion is going to have longer term problems.

And I was just going to erect a bronze statue of him on my front lawn.

Happy trails Mike!

Same reason why I loved Ivan Ciernik.

Hey may have been hurt but I think he is one of the worst players I have ever seen play for the sens since the dark ages.

Horrifying player to have on the ice, slow, bad decisions, weak. Looked like a less skilled drunk redden at the end of his career here.

Honestly surprised he is going to the KHL, he didn't seem to have any kindof offensive game usually they go after highly skilled players that don't have the size or compete level to play in the NHL.

Does anyone want to buy a Lundin jersey? Its the 2011 third jersey, the SNES one.

He seemed nice enough, but as people pointed out he struggled with injuries. Even with those injuries though, he could not crack a Sens lineup that had Karlsson and Cowen both injured at the same time. That does not bode well for his chances of making an NHL comeback.

Nevermind, Peter Bondra and Tyler Arnason take the cake for worst #10 to play for the Sens.

You know, because they actually had expectations. Arnason never scored for the Senators, and Bondra was a stud in the playoffs with 0 goals and 0 assists. Ouch.

Lundin was the best goalie we ever had.

In all seriousness, we didn't need him.
