Happened a few times this series already.
Who is he supposed to put out there? All our good players play on the PP, and are thus exhausted during that time period.

Kind of amazing tonight was TJ's only playoff assist/point.

You can't be Roenick though, for obvious reasons.

Don't Carter, Richards, Brown, and Kopitar all kill penalties? They're still able to make it out after the PP.

This playoffs. My bad. I just found it interesting that he had no points the whole playoffs.

I actually don't think Brown meant to hit Couture there. He did brace for impact

Thanks Fel. it looked accidental. At least, I don't think Couture would go out of his way to hit someone like that.

Go back to matchups and not hopefully match our 4th line against their top players. IIRC, a lot of their good players PK too, but Sutter still finds a way to outshift the Sharks after a PP.

It didn't go very well for Brown either

BTW folks, don't let anyone tell you the waved off goal was a blown call. The ref lost sight of the puck, the play is dead, it doesn't matter what happens after. That is one call where the ref has 100% discretion and there is no way to disprove it.

Good win.
It's not fixed, referees make bad calls.

The only difference is that the bad call by the refs in LA was while the were down 3-2 and had momentum, making it a 5-on-3. I still blame the Sharks for not regrouping

The Sharks didn't have 3 power plays in game 2 after the blown call to tie it up either. Anybody can reminisce about things that happened in the first 2 periods, like Wingels' post, or a few huge saves by Quick.

And it was a huge break and the Sharks got lucky there. It was a good goal if it wasn't for the ref.

Niemi needs to steal a game. Preferably game 5. The Sharks have played the Kings even or outplayed them in every game but I have a feeling the Kings are gonna dominate game 5 and Niemi needs to steal it.

Whatever one wants to say about Niemi, he got the win today. He got the W; he was able to pull through. There is something...well, everything to be said for that.

I would bet that if Nabakov had been in nets, he would have gone rusty with so little action in the first two periods. He likely would have given up a goal or two early on plus a goal late.

Well, it's Dustin Brown we're talking about. That wouldn't surprise me if it was the case.

Actually no goal is a goal without a ref.
