I think he reads the game well, but how that translates to a full NHL season will be interesting. Def looking forward to some agression towards the opposite bench/coach (hmmmm...get ready Babcock). In fact, he might be a little bit like 2002 Therrien.

As for him coming back to MTL, I really want to give Therrien the team he wants before kicking him out of town. I think he's gone a great job so far and it's just the beginning. Unfortunately, we might just be developing into a powerhouse once the media/fans become impatient with him though it will be because of him. I'm afraid that (hypothetically) bringing in a Roy might mess it all up, but hey, that's looking way too far into the future. Roy might be awesome from day one.
Colorado don't have fans, there's no pressure.

I dont see too much interest in bringing Boucher back to Montreal.

Best of luck to Roy. I really thought he would have been a great acquisition in here for quite a few reasons. But one was that he was surelly going to take all the attention and remove it from some of his players. That can't be bad. And as a goalie, would be able to exactly understand what our goalie goes through. Would have probably ask Allaire to come back in the Habs environment, which frankly, has to be better than Groulx.

But like some have said, let him start somewhere else, and we'll see how it's going to be played till then. Though, when he's available, chances are we will have 1 more competition for franco coaches....

My guess is the GM will be the one working on deals and contracts, but every decision will need Roy's approval.

I wouldn't be surprised if they won it all again this season.
Me neither.

Roy just really wanted to coach the team where the great Patrick Bordeleau plays.

Not right now, obviously...you were here when he was hired by Tampa, right? Remember that insanity?

Lol Hamrlik.

His first shift of the playoffs and he gets a delay-of-game penalty.

Rags should make a serious offer to Lindy Ruff after this failure. The way they play hockey right now is just too predictable to contend for anything.

He probably would have played a hole lot more with the habs

When's the last time he played a real hockey game anyway?

Torey Krug's been really impressive IMO. Boston's amateur scouting is second to none.

The man is an insult to professionalism. He's beyond out of shape.

Timmins is great. But Boston amateur scouting is underrated. And needless to say that their Pro scouting might be one of the best in the business. Problem I have with Timmins is that for a guy and group who had given such effort to scout the US, while we don't know if they were interested in some US guys, they didn't come out with a whole lot of interesting UFA. Krug could have been a nice touch but we didn't get him. And a few others. So much effort towards the US with so little results. And the same could said for the "local" part of scouting as the QMJHL was also forgotten for quite some time. Hope that with this draft, it changes a little. Don't make the Q guy the necessary BPA...but don't forget there's a Q.
