2-0 Bruins.. Not looking good for the Pens in this one.. With 4 goalposts for the Pens tonight looks like Craig Anderson's horseshoe fell out of his *** and become wedged in Rask's..

This starts to look like the Canucks against Boston.

Pens are done for tonight and need to shake off the rust. Luck should turn in their favour next game.

Forget the luck.
Referees are calling it for the Bruins.

Given the way the referees are calling this, I do not see the Pens winning this.

Bruins are great at playing to the limit without getting penalties.

Bruins are getting away with hooks on almost every shift.

The penalties of Cooke vs Marchand kind of points out where the refs (NHL) are leaning in this Series.

Maybe, but the refs aren't causing the Pens to shoot wide, fan on their shots and hitting the posts. Those are the factors that need to swing their way. Will make for an interesting series for sure.

The Bruins got some lucky breaks and bounces but a real solid road win for the Bruins. The Pens need to play their game and not try to play the Bruins tough. The Pens looked rusty and off tonight and they'll be better in game 2.

Those were brutal, but they didn't help Boston win out fully. I'm sure they added to Pittsburgh's rage, but what won Boston the game was their game.

So, does anyone not think Boston is winning the cup again at this point?

Well, considering at one point we thought the Bruins were eliminated and Toronto was going to move on... Things can change.

Pittsburgh needs to calm down and just play the game.

I would agree if calls would be fair.
I am a Habs fan, not a Pans fan but the referee gave the game to the Bruins.
The non call on Marchand when the game was on the line gave the game to the Bruins.
Especially when you look at this call in the context of the previous call.

In the first two periods, referees gave the game to the Bruins.

Referees won that game fair and square.

Pens needs to learn how to cheat like the Bruins do all the time.
There is no way the Pens will win unless they start to play dirty.

Referees are not going to call anything coming from the Bruins.
This is finished: NHL has decided that Bruins win this.

At this point, I am thinking the NHL has decided that in PO, anything goes.
So the name of the game is: get the toughest players you can and get in PO.
Once you are there, anything goes.

Well they are playing 5 against 7...

5 players against 5 + 2 referees.

Going to the 2 on 0 Marchand threw a clear pick and Letang dove.

I'd also say the first penalty that Malkin drew was a dive. Other than that, it looked fairly dive free.

One more reason to hate the Leafs. Collapsing in the Game 7 3rd period handed the Bruins all the momentum they need.

Anything doesnt go.

Did you see that cheap interference call on Orpik in the 1st period? Looked like a call made in the first week of the season.

Then the 2nd period scrums and fight and the refs let the Bruins do whatever they wanted in the 3rd.

Typical bush league NHL game. The selective calls followed by non-calls favors the team more skilled at dodging the rule book.....and that's the Bruins.

For good measure, the refs handed a penalty out to Crosby at the end to show Pittsburgh that the non-call game does not apply to the Pens.

Didn't see the whole game, but from what I saw I thought B's played well. They're more balanced than the Pens, and have a great shot at reaching the finals, even taking it all. As much as I hate them, you can't deny they have a great mix of skill/grit/size/speed, not to mention great coaching. Of course, every team needs a little luck and for their players to be firing on all cylinders and at the right time to go all the way, but for the next few years at least the B's will be one of those teams in the mix. And I'm friggin jealous. I can ony hope that one day soon we can say as much about the Habs.

You need the non call when Marchand did interference after showing that he was going to do it.
Pretty clear to me: Marchand calls the interference and then does it.

Review this in slow motion and tell me again that this is not an interference...
Unless you want to swallow every comment by HNIC.
In this case, HNIC is same as Benoit Brunet: Judging the play before seeing the replay and sticking to their comment.
Please do bring the replay.

BTW, between Letang and Marchand: who is the ones who is going to dive? Really? Who is going to cheat? Really?

First two periods were Bruins + referees against the Pens.
