I think the Avs getting outshot in games will be typical this year because of their style of play.

it's about quality, not quantity. if they can keep the number of quality chances down, i could care less if they gave up 50 shots a game.

There is a scoring change on the third Colorado goal. Nikolishin is being credited with the goal; the assists are from Skoula and Svatos.

Anybody else think they're taking a lot of penalties in preseason? I hope that's not a trend to continue.

Cummins in the box, SJ back on the PP.

Unless Yahoo! is deceiving me (which wouldn't be a first), Cummins only has about four minutes ice time.

Sorry for the lack of updates, had to change the batteries in my wireless keyboard. Battaglia took a penalty with about 10 seconds left in Cummins penalty. Kyle McLaren ended the shutout bid with his first goal of the preseason; Davison and Primeau were credited with the assists.

Svatos sure is making it hard for the team to send him back.

He's got 2 assists and +2 for the game.

McAllister and McLaren had a collision and McLaren ended up going to the locker room. Shortly after, the teams exchanged some hits and even Svatos got involved.

Getting a litte rough...Fahey throwing punches at Svatos while Svatos is on the ground.

I can't remember if Haynes said something about Cummins' helmet slipping down, or not. Man, that pic looks pretty bad and is in stark contrast to the way the call of the fight went. Almost all punches landed by Cummins according to the call, adn maybe a left or 2 at the end by Moscevsky.

Fahey minor for tripping and roughing and Svatos 2 minutes for charging.

What the Avs are going on the PP I'm shocked

Fahey gets two for tripping and two for roughing.
Svatos gets two for charging.

The kid makes an even stronger case for making the team. Where the hell are they gonna put him?

Crap...Erhoff scores, or however you spell it with 47 seconds left and Kipper pulled. Trickled off Sauve. SJ timeout

Sauve allows a goal with less than a minute left. It sounds as if it hit Sauve and trickled in the net. Ehrhoff is being credited with the goal. SJ has pulled their goalie and taken a time out.

Some exciting action to end the game, but the Avs hold on to win 3-2. Game Summary coming up...
