I think that argument still stands, TBH. How many people do you think have "maritime knowledge", anyway?

I agree. The orange in there reminds me too much of the Dolphins. I like the direction the new sets are headed in.

Love where the Sharks appear to be going. The orange was so unnecessary.

Video reveal. (Although I am confused with the image of the leaping Shark on white. The main chest logo is unchanged.)

Big step up IMO. The previous unis were just way too busy. This re-design does a great job of simplifying things (without going 'too simple', a la Carolina).

Much better. Love the homes. Kept it simple.

It's an improvement IMO.

- Ditching the shoulder yoke was a good move. It never looked quite right.

- I didn't like the black waist stripe on the home jersey, so I won't miss that, but the white jersey looks worse without the stripe IMO. Hockey jerseys just don't look complete with a blank hem.

- Toning down the orange was much needed. I don't mind the subtle accent that's left.

- The neckline and tie string looks nice.

What I find really odd is that they go on at length about how all of this was motivated by making the jersey lighter for performance reasons, yet they have retained the completely unnecessary and redundant chest numbering and added a tie string. Besides, I've never in my life heard of a hockey player feeling inhibited by the weight of his jersey... that whole angle sounds like PR spin to me.

Not a fan. Just looks like a boring practice jersey to me now.

So thats a full shot of the Sharks new jersey?.... I agree. They couldve done a way better job of it. Not liking that at all. I dont wonder sometimes if clubs dont do this sort of thing deliberately. Swings from nice, good taste, well done to this, run it up the flagpole for a few years, then come back with a tasteful version again. Feed the machine. Everyone needs a new jersey. Gotta keep the cash registers lit up. Kaching.

It should be a rule that no hockey jersey should go without a bottom stripe.
