Considering the Rangers traded a first round pick and $75,000 for Michel Bergeron, I think they overrated him more than any head coach in history.

No powerplay should ever go full Kompon. Kings fans know this all to well.

I would take him in a heart beat... he's a great head coach who happens to be getting OUT coached by another great head coach...

Had Quenneville reviewed the Detroit/CBJ games this regular season he would not be getting beat right now...

Not Quenville's fault Toews decided not to show up this playoffs.

Toews is the captain, best two way player, selke caliber, MVP, PPG player, super awesome. My ASS.

The PP unit are Q's fault. The matchups are Q's fault. Playing Rozsival and Oduya twice as much as Leddy and Seabrook, is Q's fault. There's pretty much nothing you can look at, and not pin it on the coaching staff, at this point.

He has a #1 PP unit that doesn't even have a center on it. He has a #2 center in Patrick Sharp, that hasn't played there since 2010. He has run PP units for the last 3 seasons, that don't have a single one-timer option available. He repeatedly puts guys in a position to fail, instead of a position to succeed. Leddy and Campbell on the PK, anyone?

Q is completely worthless. Please, God, anyone, take him away from us.

This thread has literally nothing to do with Toews, but it's nice to see the haters out in full form.

He's not the most overrated coach but his decisions continue to be baffling and stupid. I wouldn't be sad to see him go at all.

The Wings went to Game 7 with the Ducks and Babcock doesn't seem like a guy that wants to spend a whole lot of time thinking about what's beyond the next game so he was probably not even thinking of the next series at that point.

What I'm wondering is, how much of the Wings Game 1 performance against the Blackhawks was because he didn't have much time to get a gameplan together?

Oh wait, this is a Q thread? Yeah, it seems like he's a decent coach in getting his team a system and a structure to succeed. I don't see him doing a whole lot with adjustments on the fly or coming up with a tailored gameplan for specific situations.

Is this real? Is this an actual serious thread? That's like some of our fans wanting Therrien to be fired after a bringing a last place team to the 2nd spot or some B's fans wanting Julien to be fired. Reactionary thread. It's all this is.

This has nothing to do with the current situation. I've actually been calling for this guy's head for 3 years. He just makes it easier and easier to make a case against him....

By the way, the only argument needed against Q is this.

Patrick Sharp was the #2C in 2010 when they won the cup. He had a career year and an absolutely phenomenal playoffs.

Since then, the following have been tried at 2C instead of him:

Handzus
Morrison
Kruger
Bolland
Kane
Shaw

Sharp hasn't played more than a handful of games there, even though he was great there in 2010, and the Hawks won a cup on his performance playing 2C.

Do you really need any other argument?

He's getting seriously outclassed in this series, and so is his team.

Maybe, just maybe, Toews will stop being so overrated on this site now. Probably
not though.

He's a good coach for sure but since he won the Cup in 2010 it has seemed like announcers have considered him to be one of if not the best coaches in the NHL and nearly infallible. While similar coaches who have had similar sucess like Peter Laviolette having won as many Stanley Cups. However, Quennville has been to less Stanley Cup Finals and has a lesser playoff winning percentage. Yet Quennville seems to be considered a much better coach. It seems clear to me the reputation he has is more than he deserves.

Nope, just that the Wings have his number. In the six series against the wings, Q's teams have won a whopping 7 games. Pretty sad. Hawks should've fired him for this series and re-hired him for next round.

I hope so, maybe people will stop getting caught up in Toews and finally give Datsyuk the respect he deserves, he is sorely under appreciated around here.

I feel for you guys. Kings fans endured years of watching the Kings spend 2 minutes of standing in one place and playing keep away from the short handed team.

Then again, the powerplay came alive at the most important time in the history of the Kings. I like to think they spent that 5 minutes in Game 6 tuning him out.

I'm amazed how many generally good coaches can't seem to make the obvious choices when it comes to making lines or powerplay units. It's almost like they end up outthinking themselves.

Sharp is a good number two centre. So let's play Bolland there!

AV did the same thing many times. So frustrating.
