Anyone familiar with Arduino?

Got bored (in need of a electronics tinkering project), and bought a uno starter kit and a few sensors (IR, ultrasound) last night on Amazon.

The programming doesn't look to bad, similar to C from the looks of it, but a lot better than trying to deal with assembly the last time I used a microcontroller.

Just curious if anyone else has used them, and their overall thoughts.

Not really (that's was the answer I was hoping for; nice and easy).

Besides that, any real difficulty connecting small LCD's (I bought a simple 4x20 one), and possibly any experience with bluetooth/ethernet experiments, although that's more advanced than what I'll be doing until I get done messing around with the intro sketches, but I want to get into wireless control/monitoring of some sort.

I did some simple stuff like making games for 2x 8x8matrix led screens with arduino and it was really simple.
