Sharks injuries/lack of depth is killing them when we don't have the matchups we want. If we take game 6, there is no way we win game 7.

Exactly. Plus, shooting from the point with little traffic while the kings box our players out in case there is a rebound simply won't work either. Quick was hardly challenged tonight.

Biggest game of the year and the Sharks go belly up. This is an all to familiar reminder of why I picked the Kings in 6. Still disappointing.

Yep. This team simply doesn't have the depth to compete.

I thought Marleau played well. That Irwin - Boyle pairing was so terrible though.

Marleau needs to bury those chances. A little more presence by him and he has two goals tonight.

Thornton clearly doesn't match up well against Kopitar.

Logan Couture looking good in very brief spurts, and that is about it. Pavelski can only score on the powerplay, it seems.

Demers given a chance, and he squanders it. I wonder if this kind of lack of focus is why TMac doesn't like to give him ice time.

Dan Boyle showing his age. You need to trust your teammates to do their jobs; otherwise, you will fail.

I was disappointed to see how the individual Sharks's forward could not adapt when Sutter/LA changed things up. Sometimes when they figure out your tricks you need to find new ways to beat them. It doesn't seem like SJ's top players can do it.

And, Matt Irwin's fail to clear was the cause of LA's first goal. I don't blame him; I blame TMac. Irwin has shown signs of struggling.

Someone said it earlier that the Sharks look like they were playing not to lose. They can't play like that against a team as good as the Kings. You have to be aggressive to win deep in the playoffs. You can't sit back and wait for mistakes. They need to grow some ****ing balls and take the game away from the Kings. Marleau and Boyle were also terrible this game.

Marleau is fighting the puck, it won't settle for him, he wiffs on it, etc. Still, he wasn't making up for it by being physical as he has done in the past.

Pathetic.

I'm glad I only saw one period of this game.

51-24 for hits?

The problem is most if not all of his chances were pretty much him in alone

They have Desi, Kearns, Sheppard, Wingels, and Kennedy/Demers as the bottom six. That's a terribly weak bottom six. That Torres suspension really ****ed them.

Burish will be back next game I bet. Elimination game it'll be all hands on deck. Betting the sharks force a game 7. It'll be only natural for the kings to take the next game off knowing they can go home for game 7.

All the sharks big dogs will be ready to lay next game.

WTF was that geriatric moment Boyle had on coughing up the puck for the empty netter... Love the guy but that was pitiful...

contributing is as much as what you do away from the puck as what you do with it...

hockey is like a game of tug of war...if one guy is sandbaggin it, especially a guy like pattyyy, then, usually, your team loses..

Boyle simply does not have enough effect on games anymore. I've been in denial about it but it's true. He can only beat up on weak teams now.
