I would definitely stay away from Disney on any holiday.

Weird dream. Was at the NHL draft and Bettman came to the podium.

'We have a trade to announce. The Avs have traded the #1 and there 2nd rd pick to the Nashville Predators for their 1st, Sergei Kostisyn, Matt Halischuk, Jon Blum, and Alexander Radulov

We did Universal over the weekend. Actually wasn't that bad. Sunday and Monday were a little busy, but not bad. Since we stayed at one of the onsite hotels we got the Express Pass upgrade for free. Longest we spent in any line was about 30-45 minutes for Harry Potter. Most were 10-15 min max.

Universal is a much better ride experience than Disney but the rides are a good bit wilder. Also is much easier to get a table at a restaurant than Disney.

Glad to hear HP is down to 30-45. I went shortly after it opened and it was over 90 minutes...

Too many motion simulators at universal for me and the theming ( other than HP) lags disney by a mile. The key to Disney is get up obscenely early, pick the right park and use the fast passes relentlessly. A mitary logistics expert wouldn't hurt either.

My wife and I are taking our girls to Disney over Fall Break this October. I'm just freaked out about them making dinner reservations already on the meal plan. Hopefully it won't be too crowded then!

We usually go to Disney every year in late January which is one of the least crowded times, and it still feels crowded. Check out this site (http://www.easywdw.com/) if you would like some planning information on which park to visit on which day. His photo blog is usually informative and pretty funny too.

I have seen some pictures from New Years, and I would not want to be any where near the parks.

This is how you do it. You have to get to the parks about 30 minutes before rope drop, and have a plan on where you are going. On the day that you do Hollywood Studios you want to get there at least 30 minutes early because most of the time they open the park 15 minutes early to space out the people running to Toy Story Mania.

Lost the hide off my left thumb and right middle finger at the driving range this evening, so when I tell people I would rather rip the hide off my fingers than watch the Kings play, I have proof.

So, awesome story time.

About a week after I graduated, I got a check for $50 from my aunt. I kept meaning to deposit said check, but never got around to it and ultimately lost it in my apartment.

Concurrently to this, I was in touch with a fairly important individual with a reputable double-A baseball club. We went back and forth about what kind of work he would have available this summer. He asked for my cell number, but he never called. I followed up with him a couple of times to no avail, so I decided to take my persistent nature to its natural conclusion: go to a ballgame and try to meet him there. Unfortunately, my bank account was bone dry; I could make the trip and not get in, or I could get in if I could find some way not to pay for the gas to make a 90-minute drive. Both, of course, would be futile.

More or less resigned to a fate of moving back in with my parents while searching for employment, I decided to spend yesterday afternoon cleaning up the flat I'm about to move out of, and guess what I found? A $50 check. I got it cashed, got gas, hit the Interstate, and got an impromptu interview in the bottom of the fourth.

I start next week.

Weird, working at my job being asked all the time if I've done sports announcing because I can speak ANY name clearly and can speak quickly.

If you are unfamiliar with the area, may I recommend Maguires pub which is all the way at the west end of 98 right before you go over the bridge to fort walton.

Nice... I'll try to make it there. Thanks! This is our 4th year here, but haven't ventured off the 30A for food yet.
