I don't usually go downtown on Saturday afternoons in the summer so while I was there after the scrimmage I just people watched. I couldn't believe how many people were down there! The streets were packed and restaurants were full. I saw at least 4 pedal taverns going around. I'm sure there were a lot of locals down there as well. But it's just hard to imagine that all those people chose to come here, to Nashville, for the weekend or to party. I guess we're still the "It City".
Officially move to Nashville starting March 29 and start new job in Smyrna on April 7. So excited to get a restart in life!
So how do you like Smyrna? I love it here! I've been here a little over a year. Everything is so convenient! Since I am retired, I don't have the everyday drive to work or anything. I dug out my receipts from Valvoline Oil CHange and between 3/13 and 5/14 I drove 3009 miles. (I'm not kidding!). A tank of gas will last me a month. I hope you like it just as much.
Almost everyone will have to reapply for new jobs. There will be fewer managers, more reporters and columnists and a larger investigative team. But ultimately, the newsroom will shrink by 15 percent. Currently, the headcount is at 89. There are 76 positions on the new org chart.
Could this mean we finally rid ourselves of Cooper?
