I'm sick of this pacifist reaction to the Reds. And Locke is only going to hit somebody at 87 miles per hour tomorrow if he does throw at them. I want a Cole 97 MPH rib hunter.

just knew that would happen... I was hoping over the last couple years that pedro's plate discipline would improve a little bit. He just keeps swinging at everything.

That's the second time Chapman has thrown at the head of one of our guys this season.

I'm sick of this pacifist ********. They're playing dirty and we need to take action to stop being bullied. I want to see us react like the Dodgers did to Ian Kennedy last week.

There is going to be a bench clearer before this series is over. Chapman could have killed Walker.

I was hoping that one of the Bucs was going to launch his bat at Chapman's head.

But apparently we're the Switzerland of MLB.

Not sure why our pen didn't hit someone. That was the time, after we were basically out of it. I have no doubt Grilli would have hit someone. Shouldn't have to tell a player to do it.

Seriously, I'm coming out with two pitchers tonight. Justin Wilson starts the game by throwing a high 90's fastball at the first batters head. Both benches get warned and then Hurdle comes out and puts Morton in the game for the second batter.

We lose Wilson in the pen for one night, but the Reds pitcher will get tossed if he retaliates.

We've seen this before though. When this happened last year, top 1st the following game, Reds threw at Josh Harrison, knowing it would only result in warnings, and leave the Pirates unable to retaliate in the bottom 1st.

They were discussing this on DVE, who do you think would be the guys who could throw them on the Pirates?

McKenry would be scrappy. Burnett is just crazy enough to throw one wild punch. And Pedro would have a wild swing, but probably miss.

Burnett if he could actually walk I guess. Mercer is no small boy, neither is Walker, Jones, Sanchez, Marte etc.

Let's be honest, the bench brawl ends up in a bunch of clutching and grabbing and not much else unless you pull a Greinke and cripple yourself. Or if you're Don Zimmer.

I pray that Hurdle gets a hold of Dusty Baker and drops him with a haymaker. If you hit Hurdle in the jaw, you'd break your hand.

Maybe they can sign Steve McIntyre to a 10 day contract?

Yeah, the brawl in baseball is always dumb. I do sorta want anybody-but-Votto to get ****ed up somehow, whether it's an up and in fastball or a haymaker.

But really, I wish MLB wasn't a joke and Latos could just get tossed tonight when he throws at Cutch in the first inning, so that we can tax their bullpen and take the next three games.

The problem is that MLB is a joke. Jonathan Sanchez hit 1 guy earlier in the year and gets suspended because he is a Pirate. Dusty sends Chapman and company out to hit somebody every week and no Red ever gets suspended. This league is a joke.

I listened to a lot of Pirates talk today. Wide range of opinions regarding how to handle things tonight.

Steve Blass, who was quick to point out, he doesn't speak for the team, just his personal opinion, said that Morton should hit someone early. 1st batter. Blass said even if it means Morton getting tossed. Even if it means we lose the game. That you protect your stars. That one game doesn't mean much if you don't stick up for McCutchen. If you have your star who doesn't feel like the team protected him, then you have big problems in morale in the clubhouse.

He didn't go so far as to stay that is what happened last year, but it sure seemed he was implying it.

Sweetest revenge would be something like a 5 spot in the first inning. Let's get a few guys on and let Pedro crush one, and Dusty can sit in the dugout and play with his dick thinking about hitting guys all he wants.

Wow, Marte made it, BARELY. But I don't like the decision to go for third. But it works out, as Marte scores on Martin grounder. Martin safe at first on error.

Also pointed out today was how bad Cutch has been in the past, in the next several games after being HBP.

EDIT: Haha....how was Martin safe??? lol

Martin was safe, bad tag by Cozart trying to tag his left arm. Reds are so entitled right now, complaining about every close call as if they deserve to get them even if they aren't the right call. Just shut up.
