I still want to see some red dripping out of a Red flailing around on the ground, but I'd settle for ground Chuck and a lot of frustration.

Cutch does look pretty flustered already. Hopefully he can shake it off the next time through and put one in the seats--he's due.

Done. Latos is probably going to come after Morton next inning and benches will clear. Let's get a double play here.

Haha, nice! 6 pitches, message sent.

I am noticing an uptick in good nicknames lately in Baseball. Sure as hell beats the crap out of Hockey where they add an ey at the end of someone's name and call it a day.

Morton I am sure listened to some of the vet starters. Namely AJ Burnett who said that the job doesn't always have to be done by the relievers. That the starters have to start doing it. "It" being sticking up for your teammates after they are hit.

Just tuning in, so what's up? They hit someone, we scored 3, then Morton hit their leadoff guy and got out of the inning in 6 pitches? I love it if so.

Yep, except the Red's didn't hit us.

But they most surely will now.

No, Marte turned a double into a triple against a lackidaisical defense, and then we just kept hitting Latos who was pretty wild. Then Charlie plunked Choo's knee on the first pitch, got a double play on the third pitch, threw the first one inside on Votto who looked pissed, and got him to fly out.

Sent the message and delivered a solid brushback as well. It'll be interesting to see how Latos responds to Morton.

I doubt Latos hits Morton here, he still has to bat.

I can't lie, that fastball high and tight on Votto made my day.

Now Paul gets hit, doubt it was intentional in that situation but seeing Dusty stare angrily from the dugout is awesome.

Kinda early to pull chuckles with how he is pitching today, but it's probably for the best to keep his pitch count low for awhile to make sure his arm is ok.

Probably a smart trigger by Hurdle, tough luck with Watson there... that's all on how good Votto is.

What a dumb move by Hurdle. Take out your mentally fragile pitcher after he's given you 5.1 brilliant innings on only 61 pitches. "Hey Charlie, we have no confidence in you."

I don't think even Clint does that if it's not Chuck's 2nd game back after Tommy John Surgery. You want to ease him back into the starting role...I'd have given him at least one more batter personally, but that was 3 batters out of 5 getting on (effectively two wild pitches letting people on...the first one won't go down as one, but that's only because it hit Paul's foot before it could get to the backstop, and the second one came on a strikeout).

Can we please stop striking out 15 times a game? 17 of our 27 outs came by way of the K.

He'd be stupid to stir something up this late in a 4-0 game. The message was properly sent early on and the Reds stayed quiet...throwing at a Red here only makes things tougher for us tomorrow.

edit: 2 Reds strikeout and end up on base...that's been their best strategy to get on tonight.
