Oh, wait.

I'm really starting to wonder about them New York Blue Shirts.

There is a certain cruel irony to Rick Nash now having Arniel back on the staff after it was essentially his coaching and the team's play under him that was the final straw in the camels' back that drove him out of town.

Rick Nash the Coach Killer's list of victims:

Dave King
Doug Maclean
Gerard Gallant
Gary Agnew (interim, 5 games)
Ken Hitchcock
Claude Noel (interim, 26 games)
Scott Arniel
John Tortarella

10 NHL seasons. 8 Head coaches relieved while he was on the roster. (with 2 interim head coaches).

Todd Richards is the only coach to survive the wrath of Rick Nash. Perhaps this is the key to future success.

Dreger tweeting that too

Did Philly solve their D & G problems while I was sleeping? or is Morin & Mason the answer?

Philadelphia just loves overpaying players (either in contract length or salary).

Well the good news in Flyers/Jackets games should be good, every member of the CBJ should know how to score all over poor Mason.

Awesome, Lecavalier is going to be collecting 2 high-paying buyout checks in 3 years.

Using that as a comp, Marc-Andre Bergeron could probably get $3.5 mil per year.

Assuming Philly is the one after him, of course.

Philly and Calgary are baffling me more than the organization in Columbus in the last two years.

A strange measure of progress, but progress nonetheless.

Thinking that those guys were let go because of Nash is not insane, just silly.

Sounds like the Coyotes are staying put, at least for the next 5 years, though may be changing their name to the Arizona Coyotes.

I think its funny how many people there are on the boards who don't know the name of their representative or senator, the setup of their local government structure, or where to find Arizona or Glendale on a map...these are the same people that have suddenly become experts on local Glendale politics. There are some very small people who get extremely large and bitter once behind a keyboard, and once it looks like the Coyotes are staying put.

Philly has already used both compliance buyouts so if they wanted to buy Vinny out, it would be a cap hit for them. I don't see that happening.

Um. Are you seriously referring to an obvious joke as being spot-on accurate?

I'd normally assume it's sarcasm in reply to sarcasm, but I unfortunately never really know with you.
