This is a much better solution for Hossa and the Hawks than Hawks taking a huge cap penalty.
that would be bad cap management tho... especially if the blackhawks have any intention of staying competitive

1. Hossa will not be bought out this summer. If anything it would be in 1 year as Hoss already said on page 1
2. Before he retires and the Hawks end up with a 18 million cap hit, the use a regular buyout for him and end up with 4.6 million
3. He is the kind of player that still could play as 41 year old and be useful

Hossa was stupid to sign a 12 year deal with Chicago, Hossa had already stated when he was playing for Detroit that he did'nt want to play past 40 and this deal takes him to 42, When the Wings were trying to resign him they were going to give him a 10 year deal taking him up to 40 at the exact same cap that Chicago signed him to $5,300,000 a year He has stated that he wanted to stay with Detroit I guess he was lying all along. Would have rather resigned Hossa then Franzen what a waste.

Would love to see him in a Panther uniform. Can join some of his old Chicago buddies, as well as a line of Hossa-Mackinnon-Huberdeau would be sick

If Marian Gaborik was still a Ranger, I'd say the Rangers would definitely be in the mix.
