Part of the 13.5 needs to go towards signing RFA's Step, Hags, Mcd and Zucc...

Not to mention decisions on filling out the rest of the roster by either signing our UFA's or signing others...the following are our UFA's

eminger
gilroy
hamrlik
clowe

Don't really want to get into an in-length discussion about Sather in this thread, but the roster is flawed. No legitimate top line center or offensive defenseman who can run a PP; not enough depth; not enough toughness, size, or speed throughout the lineup.

Sather is probably the worst GM in the league when it comes to free agent signings - Richards will be our 3rd buyout in 3 years after Drury and Redden.

And that's really the only the tip of the iceberg as I haven't addressed the drafting or constant roster turnover amongst other issues.

A 171-115-29 record, and 4 playoff appearances with a berth in the Conference Finals would be a record a hell of a lot of coaches would be envious of. I am not a Torts fan, but I do believe he did a good job in his own way.

The person that should have been fired, and fired a long time ago, is Sather for giving out all the insane contracts.

Penmanship was out of this world.

There obviously going to wait for Detroit to be eliminated so they can interview Renney.

Too late. Damage already done. Left with a roster devoid of talent and paying too much for "jam" guys.

Now it's going to be a huge problem cleaning up this mess. Spend the better part of two years building a Torts team, now, after the "soft" talent is gone and we're left with a bunch of grinders we're starting over with a new coach. Glad Torts is gone, disappointed it happened now.

I guess another huge roster turnover is coming, at least now it's probable Kreider and Zucc get time in the top-6.

Sather was capitivated by Trottier's handwritten manifesto on hockey. Couldnt coach a lick, but what an impressive gesture!

Vancouver couldn't score for **** in the playoffs either.

Actually, they are way under 2 GPG in the playoffs after their SCF appearance. No to AV.

Why do they care, they're not gonna be in the playoffs anyway.

When they're relevant again, I'll care. I'll just enjoy them forfeiting a top 5 pick next season.

Why would Columbus send him back after they fleeced the rangers with that trade?

Sather should have traded gaborik that offseason when his value was high, not got desperate and done it mid season.

While I think Tortorella has been fairly well in his time here, I think this is the right move at the right time. Also can't get past the feeling this is Sather scapegoating him. Would like to keep Sullivan strictly for defense: Stralman, McD, Moore playing his best hockey, Girardi stepping up last season - I simply can't look past that.

Boucher or Eakins please. No to AV and Ruff. Interested to see if the Sharks release McLellan. He could be an interesting option.

Thank you for the best year of Rangers hockey in more than a decade, John. But please stop being a obnoxious **** in public, I can't stand that.
