The most dominant player EVER

Overall Frame, and Hands = Mario Lemieux
Eyes = Wayne Gretzky
Heart = Steve Yzerman
Mechanics = Al Iafrate
Back = Me, or anyone other than Mario
Brain = Emilio Estevez as Coach Bombay (Gretzky coming in at a close 2nd)
Chest Hair = Tom Selleck
Forearms = Popeye
Head = That Egyptian god with the dog head (how scary would that be?) - google tells me his name was Anubis. Thanks google.

I just realized that if Space Jam was a hockey movie and I was the cigar-smoking alien boss guy, I would have easily beat Gretzky in an intergalactic showdown. I realize that it wouldn't make sense if I used Gretzky's eyes and I played against Gretzky. Cry me a river.

The question needs some refinement. Are we talking about building a model player that you could then clone to populate your whole squad? Or about making one dominant scorer?

If the former, you might favour durability and therefore size -- a well rounded Messier-in-his-prime type

If the latter, you might favour agility and therefore want a lighter, quicker player -- a Pavel Bure.
its the latter, make the most dominant offensive hockey player, ever!

My ideal Power Forward:

Is female.

Vision is better than Gretzky's.

Hit's like Scott Stevens.

Looks exactly like Angelina Jolie.

Is married to me.

So? Orr would've been dominant as a forward.

This would be hard for me, but I would definitely want Steve Yzerman's heart and spirit, and Pavel's stickhandling, and ability to pass to a teammate even when it looks like there's no pass available.

Pavel Bure's leg strength and speed.
Sergei Fedorov's agility and balance.
Wayne Gretzky's vision and hockey sense.
Mario Lemieux's frame and wingspan.
Gordie Howe's elbows.
Joe Sakic's forearms and wrists.
Brent Sopel's hair and looks.

This is easy.

Mario's body and skills
Messier's heart
Orr's legs
Gretzky's vision, passing, smarts, and everything else

seems like alot of people chose mario lemieux's body parts (which is what i asked for), does that mean most people here think lemieux is the most talented player physically? IMO lemieux and eric lindros are the 2 players that have the ideal body parts to be the perfect forward.

Our perfect player would of course wear cooperalls and a JOFA helmet, but no visor. Don Cherry could find a way to downgrade him otherwise.

Bobby Orr with Zedno Chara's left leg and Paul Kariya's right leg.

The guy could skate circles around anybody...at least clockwise.

for me, i would want that player to have
pavel bure's leg: his leg is like tree trunks, which give him lots of power (for acceleration and speed) and good balance.
sakic's wrist: best wrist shot in the league.
al macinnis' arm: gives my player a lethal slap shot.
lindros' upperbody: so much mass in his upper body, if he hit you he'll hurt you.
mario lemieux's hands: IMO best stickhandler in the world, can do anything with the puck.
gretzky's brain: his brain gives him the ability to 2 steps ahead of everybody.
mark messier's eyes and elbow: intensity in his eyes can scare off opposition, if not then his elbow will.
honestly Lindross was the whole package for me, I guess if he had Gretzky's vision and didn't get knocked on queer street and kept his head up he would still be dominating.

Repair Mairo Lemieux' body, have him without all the Injuries and you have the Ideal hockey player physically. Add Gretzkys vision and Yzermans Heart and Leadership and you have an all in all PERFECT hockey player.

Steve Moore's head
