Which "Top End" guys in the league are better than the guys on OW?

Haven't seen too many around.

If Renfrew finds a way to add either the two they do not have they might be able to challenge OJC or OW in the M/V finals.

I would agree Nichols is the best D probably in the EOJHL. I think Keuhl is better than Suckow however.

Wintjes and Milito should both be in the top 5. Milito has a CCHL championship and Fred Page Cup experience. Wintjes played in the Toronto equivalent of the Fred Page Cup, I think it's the Dudley Cup or something.

Nichols could not make a team with Milito on it and Wintjes could play on most teams in the CCHL according to scouts.

I agree with the rest and Keuhl is now in Pembroke.

Not saying OW's D is amazing but I don't see many teams with better.

Nichols as in Stittsville Royals Nichols ???? If so, I vote a big NO to that. Genier is far better.

Genier has not played well in his own end the few games I have seen and made some bad pinches resulting in goals

Would have to agree tho that there is not a team with a much better defense. Maybe not at all

It would have to be Nichols. After Saturday night's game I can't see Almonte doing anything to help Renfrew out (line brawl). Also Almonte still believes they have a shot in the Valley and aren't going to trade one of thier top d-men away while they are in a playoff position.
On the other hand, without Nichols, Stittsville would be in even worse shape than the currently are. i believe he is the most consistent player they have.
Just my opinions...

If you are the Royals, at what point do you pull the plug and try get something back for your valuable assets. You have quite a few guys who have played Jr A on the roster and you are starting to fall out of it. Especially since Shawville has 5 games in hand.

Groulx - OHL
Nichols - Jr A
Genier - Jr A
Hulford - Jr A
Rowe - Jr A
Kerwin - Jr A

If Stittsville had any type of coaching they would be the best team in the Valley. It's a shame.

If they could make it to the playoffs they could surprise. They may have dug themselves too big of a hole tho. Renfrew looks like the top team in the valley.

Athens from the rideau and casselman from the st.lawrence are my picks

They will have to get a lot better fast, because the schedule is not favourable.

4XArnprior, 4XRenfrew, 3XPerth, 2XAlmonte and only 2XShawville.

Interesting matchup tonight at Sandy Hill, as OJC entertains Perth.

The Blue Wings have been up-and-down all year, but have proven they can play with the Metro's best.

OJC come in riding a 3-game winning streak, and look like they might be able to launch a bid for 1st place in the Metro down the stretch.

Tom Kirkwood

From checking twitter I see the St Lawrence teams have posted the head coach of Winchester has passed away. Anybody hear any news on that?

Heard it was a heart attack, age 58. RIP.

The Ottawa Canadians just manhandled the Perth Blue Wings for a full twenty minutes. It was 1-1 (barely) after twenty, it's now 5-1 after forty.

Barr-Pearson-Rodier have been essentially invisible since the first three shifts.

To me, this is an indication that, if OJC or OW are on their game, the M/V Conference will be one of theirs.

Total mismatch tonight- from the net, to the blueline, to the forwards.

Not impressed by Austin Lamont tonight. Dirty, big defenseman.

When he scored Perth's second goal, to make it 7-2, he turned to the OJC bench and celebrated in front of them.

Our three stars tonight:
1) Scott McIlroy (OJC) 1G, 2A
2) Dom Plaschy (OJC) 21/23
3) Eric Ferguson (OJC) 1G, 2A

Hardest worker - Alex Vala (PER)

Missed tonight's 9-2 Ottawa win?

Listen to it tape-delayed here:

Sadly, one of the true "hockey people" passed away last night of a heart attack. He will be missed in the junior circles. R.I.P. Tom.

Games cancelled last night, I heard from someone that the Almonte/Perth game is also cancelled tonight? Can anyone confirm this?

What's with Perth only having 14 skaters on the roster last night ?

Perth

14 Skaters ? Does it really matter ? Perth's coaches only use 8 players anyway....if a team can stay out of the box against Perth, Perth will be out 4 straight when the time counts.
