Ottawa: Alexander Burmistov
Winnipeg: Stephan Da Costa and Jim O'brien

Thoughts?

The value is fair, although the Jets may have to toss in a mid round pick. I would avoid Burmy due to rumours of a bad attitude, and the fact that his agent has a very bad history with the Ottawa franchise may make us think twice.

Alone Burmistov has little value, if he is traded then it will be in a package.

I would love to have Bogo, but that package is no where close to fair for him.

Seriously though, Ottawa has no need for Burmi, but they do have a need for Bogosian. With Trouba and Buffy the vampire eater, could Bogosian be expendable?

I get the feeling the Jets would probably be much more willing to part with Buff than Bogo.

For Bogo I would give up our 1st (pick 17), Stone, and Jets choice of one out of Wiercioch/Puempel/DaCosta.

This trade would benefit Ottawa because it give them a top 4 D on the right side to play a 3/4 role at the expense of a package of good prospects that are NHL caliber but would struggle to find a spot in the Sens lineup.

This trade would benefit Wpg because it provide 3 valuable pieces going forward and enhances organizational depth, which makes the team less vulnerable to going on losing steaks after key injuries during the season. The problem, of course, is the Jets would be loath to give up a young D with talent to burn.

Don't need Burmistrov. Hate Gandler.

Despite that, I still would do OP's proposal.

Its Alexei Yashin's agent.

As for my thoughts, I think you should slack on the Trade proposals.

Just remember for the rumours:

2011 Bogo rumoured wanting out by Lawless, but signed
2012 Kane and Pavelec rumoured wanting out by Lawless, but signed
2013 Burmi rumoured wanting out by Lawless...?

you nailed it Stefan

Bogo and Trouba represent the future.....It might still be 1 year away but Buff will most likely get moved at some point IMHO.

I think Ottawa does this quite easily. But I agree with the risk of burmis attitude problems

Ottawa had him highly rated in his draft year. I'm sure they would be aware of any character problems through scouting him, speaking to former coaches and during the interview process

Kid is a gamer and would fit great in Ottawas high tempo puck possession game.

An opinion writer writes a story to sell papers with no quotes from the player or agent, and now said player had attitude problems?
The same player by the way that went to the AHL instead of back home because the organization asked him to?

No Mandy but Buff will probably be moved at some point which is why you see him popping up on allot of trade rumours IMHO. My guess is Buff gets moved at the trade deadline or next off season at the latest because at that point he still has 2 years term left. Buff does not really have value to Ottawa because you have a better version of him already. Bogosian and Trouba represent our future as far as our D core goes.

Also, same AHL team's coach raved on players work ethic and character...
The same coach who pointed out players on the team who had attitude problems, one of which that was traded away (Machacek).
