MacT has already talked about wanting a center and I believe he has even specifically talked about Monahan. If he is there the Oilers take him. No ifs ands or buts.

They should take Zadorov to pair with Justin Schultz

I think Gagner is a pretty good 2nd line Center

I'm honestly shocked they're not gonna go D. Isn't that by far their biggest need in terms of 1st round talent? Just doesn't make sense...

Oh well.

It makes tons of sense, We need "D" that can play in our line up right NOW! not in 2-4 years especially when we have enough D prospects in our pipeline that is developing nicely like Oscar Klefbom, Martin Marincin, David Musil, Martin Gernat. This cannot be stressed enough.

Look at our center depth, All we have is Anton Lander who could be a 3rd/4th line center and Travis Ewanyk who's a question mark to ever turn out more than a AHLer. That's it. Sean Monahan will fit in nicely if we have an opportunity to draft him.

This will be overwhelmingly Sean Monahan with other fans voting for Nurse/Zadorov.

Oilers fans probably skewed the votes so that Calgary got Lindholm instead of Monahan

Man if this actually happened... If the draft went in this order... damn, I'd be happy. Very happy. Heck if Monahan was available at 7th, I wouldn't be surprised to see Edmonton still trade the pick for something very significant.

If Edmonton if buying out Horcoff they'll be able to afford taking on some salary and a guy like Monahan could land them a very capable body.

Should really pick Nurse, but they'd take Monahan.

Monahan is the exact player we need for the 2nd line.

The Oilers don't need a D prospect. They need a veteran D. Monahan will be their guy.

I don't think anyone outside of Edmonton cares, not trying to be a dick but any duo is going to look nice when you are picking top 10 5 years in a row

Your shocked because you do not understand Edmonton's depth needs. It's ok.

Klefbom, Marincin, Musil, Gernat, Fedun, Davidson >>>>>>> Lander, Ewanyk, Arcobello. It makes too much sense...

Lots of us would take Lindholm over Monahan. Either will make us deep down the middle with RNH and Gagner.

Klefbom and Belov are coming to North America in a few months and big Martin Marincin is getting developed properly in the AHL.

The Flames forum would indicate otherwise. I think Oilers fans would be very happy with either.
