No way Nashville touches this deal.

But put me down for Myers/Grigorenko for 4th (assuming its Barkov) and then taking Horvat/Monahan/Lindholm or D at 8th.

Would Nashville do this one though ?

No thanks. I don't see Hodgson being a top line center. We have our second, third and fourth line pivot position covered. We don't need wingers, so Stafford isn't all that appealing in terms of plugging existing holes, though I do like Stafford. Moving down in the draft from 4th to 8th when we have a shot at Barkov isn't worth it, even for two players and a second rounder.

Besides, I doubt Buffalo covets the 4th overall enough to even offer that package.

1-4 isn't the end game. It's using 1-4 to get to 1-1.
