Who do you predict will be the 2013 Stanley Cup champions?

Ok... so the Habs are long gone at this point...

Still, all NHL hockey fans recognize that the final 4 are each formidable, tried and true teams.

1. The offensively stacked Pens
2. The rugged Bruins
3. The President's Trophy Hawks
4. The defending champion Kings

Who will win it ALL?

Place your bets now... and check back in 3 1/2 weeks.

Doesn't matter as long as the Bruins fail in tremendous fashion.

But for argument sake, The Blackhawks (Hopefully).

The Kings struggled with San Jose (all 7 1-goal games) and came out flat against St. Louis (dropping the first 2 games before winning 4 straight 1-goal games). Pittsburgh had trouble with the Isles (blowing them out twice, however), and then ran roughshot over Ottawa (blowing them out in 3 of the 4 games).

Boston has championship resilience, but I can't see them keeping up with the Pen-train.

LA most likely will squeak out 4 1-goal games against Chicago, but even their stuffy style of play won't be able to handle a team like Pittsburgh that capitalises on a high percentage of chances.

Chicago will just get demolished by Pittsburgh.

Barring major injuries (i.e. Crosby, Malkin, Letang), I don't see anyone coming close to the Penguins this year.

Hoping for the pens. I won't mind the hawks winning but certainly not the bruins or the kings. The Bruins for obvious reasons and the kings because they're good but not repeating champions good.

Hawks. Look at their lineup. Man that team is well built and good. They are going to win it in a 7 game battle with the pens IMO.

It will be the Kings or Pens IMO, I picked Pens but because everything I pick or say or think is jinxed it will probably end up being the Kings. Of course now that I posted that, the only team out of the 4 that I don't think can compete with the other 3 (the Bruins) will end up winning.
all that said the Hawks will win the CUP, heard it here first.

As we are going forward in PO, the skills that allowed the teams to make it through the season are going to go back to their intrinsic values.

I do expect the Pens and Hawks to win their respective conference.
Between Rask and Pens offense, I do choose the Pens.
Hawks just made it through their worst series against Detroit and they did overcome great challenges.

Tougher with Quick and the Hawks but we saw Chicago winning it against Howard.

After that, it depends on the players added: Iginla, Morrow and Murray will decide if the Pens win it or not.
Their added value to Crosby, Neal, Malkin and Letang will have to be significant.

Kings were already able to get through six PO series riding on Quick's miracles.
It is not like Dryden, Smith or Fuhr who were backed by great offense.

Boston's not in the same class as the other teams. Sure, it's cool to see a reunion of former Cup-winners, but that doesn't reflect the 'big-four' of the league, any more than last year's final four or the season before that, or before that (when Montreal was in the ECF).

Chicago and Pittsburgh are today's powerhouses, with LA close behind with superior goaltending. I picked Chicago because they're strongest from back to front. Boston's a good team, but they were lucky to get out of round-one. Funny how most of their fans acknowledged how mediocre their team was one month ago, but have jumped back on the arrogance bandwagon because of five games against NY - plus 10 minutes against Toronto. I don't blame them for loving the journey, but really... show some well-earned humility.

They all have question marks.

You have two teams that can rely on outscoring the opposition in Chicago and Pittsburgh. Then you have two teams that can grind the **** out of the opposition in LA, and Boston.

Both series present some contrasting styles, which make it interesting, but I think Pittsburgh is the most well rounded, so I'll take them.
