The board by Cooke deserved 5, but I didn't think it warranted a game misconduct. He got that based on reputation.

The Boston boarding from Marchand should've also been 5, and the refs dropped the ball.

They dropped the ball a few times on easy calls, and that bred all the frustration. They managed the game very poorly, and I couldn't be happier that Sid gave them an earful.

I know, but at this time I would want all the players there no matter what, this is what they play for, I get they need rest, but they also have to be out there on the ice. At most for 30 minutes with the entire team, going over some of the little stuff

The game got out of hand because of the call, and their subsequent stupity.

Look, the Pens did not lose because of poor reffing. I stated that before, and in fact the Pens outplayed the Bruins that game. Five off the post and Malkins shot going wide at the end of the period by a millimeter are not going to happen every game.

Pens' fans generally do not whine about the refs out to get them, like some fan bases. That said these refs showed that they lose control of big games. They should not work another series. But their stupidity did not effect the outcome.

Americans should stop complaining about NBC coverage and holding Canadian coverage up to be any better, especially CBC.

This is apparantly a near flying elbow now:

They were the cause of what happened at the end of the 2nd.

The fans need to stop whining about the hatred directed at the Pens. Ray Shero expected it when he made the deals at the deadline. When you're expected to come out on top it brings out those who want you to be cut down to size, so every little thing is magnified as well as a hiccup like last night.

Exactly.

When the refs don't do their job, the players have no choice left except to take things into the their own hands.

I hate this pest ****. Specific players get a pass on everything because they're a "pest". It's stupid.

The pens manhandled the b's physically last night and now they are playing the victim card. I dont get it.

Not playing the victim card so much as being pissed about the refs not being able to do their job.

Because there's a difference with being legal and physical and being illegal and physical.

It's not that hard of a concept.

Interference and boarding inconsistencies. Acquaint yourself with them.

The refs can let them play or call it tight. But they need to be consistent.

Losing this one was tough, statistically teams only have a 30% chance of winning the series in conf finals dropping game 1, if they drop game 2 forget about it.

U guys had 4 pp's im sorry but expecting 8 pp's a game is not realistic

Given that our last cup team fell behind 2-0 in two series, I'd hardly say it's worth getting on the edge of a building for. Would definitely be worried if it happened though.

So regardless of what happens in the game, a team should only ever get a certain amount of...

Oh, why am I even trying.

Edit: Besides, he's 100% correct. This is how the NHL operates.

That's exactly the point. Your team cheats on a shift to shift basis because they know the refs won't call them on more than the occasional penalty. Are you a Pats fan too?

If the opposing team commits 8 penalties then the Pens should get 8 PPs.

There isn't a PP quota where once a team gets 4 PPs the other team is free to cheat.

When it comes to interference inconsistency, this is another example of it. First, Crosby gets a call when he barely touches a guy and then 2 Bruins are coming all alone against Vokoun, with Letang trying to catch them. Then Marchand decides to block him and creates a free way for Bergeron. Letang dove there, but there should definitlely be a clear penalty as well on Marchand, which would mean the play is stopped and Bergeron´s breakaway is stopped. He could have scored a big goal there..

There were a lot of calls going against us, I hope the Bruins whiners are satisfied right now. Their campaign proclaimed in the media probably paid off. Now, we are the ones whining, but rightfully so. I really hope the refs will be different in game 2, Rooney is a piece of ****
