There is already a 1993 Stanley Cup anniversary thread but that one is about the Habs' failures in the last 20 years.
But this day deserves a celebration thread.
Where were you when the Habs won the '93 Cup?
I was only 7 years old, was just watching at home. Probably too young to truly appreciate it. I didn't have much knowledge about the significance of the Cup and its history. But still, these are some of my earliest hockey memories. I think if the Habs hadn't won the Cup that year, I may not have been as big of a fan of hockey as I became.
So fitting that it was the 100th anniversary of the Cup and hockey's most storied franchise won it all. That 92-93 season was just a great season overall. Maybe the most fun season of hockey that I've watched.
Was halfway through high school, sporting a Habs jersey in class in the centre of Leaf Nation and enjoying seeing Mullet Melrose and friends flounder in what would be the best year for Canadian sports ever!
