But we then came home for two games. For this we'll be going to Boston down 0-2. I wont say WE LOSE WE'RE OUT now but it'll be a real battle. Must win is going a bit far though.

I'd hope to see better of each teams fans this game. Saw the thing Jeffery posted about Boston fans wanting to see Cookes throat get cut and then about PGH getting bombed, awful for sure. But I was really disgusted to find out some Penguin fans had made comments about Boston getting bombed. That just freaking disgusting. I was talking with my friend and we wondered how those people who say that don't have friends who ask them what the heck they're thinking at that moment. There is NOTHING in losing a hockey game could make me say that. Simply put there's much more to life than this series. Do I want to win? Certainly. Would I like to do so with class? Yes. Please people consider before you say something on that level of stupid.

Let's Go Pens!

Goin old school for luck on the Power Play with Cookie Bunny. Quick question, the other pic I found was done in the 'Inspirational Poster' style with the swear version of 'POOP' in it. Can I post that in the future or no since it has a swear? I'm almost certain that one was posted back in the Cup run win days but times they do a change.

I am not worried. I think we see an answer tonight, I'm going to put some money on Pens -1,5 since the odds pretty good.
Even if they do lose tonight, no need to panic yet. Boston has made it a habit to breath life back into teams they have gained a big advantage in the series on. We could absolutely come back.

In my opinion, it is not about "coming back" per se. We were right there the whole game. We honestly just need to work on fore-checking and making life harder on them but all of the shots were right there. More and more resolve is needed to finish a goal. But who are we kidding? We know our team. We play well with a fire under our ass. I wouldn't be surprised if tonight we win 7-2. Anytime we have a lead or any self confidence we basically stop playing or at least our resolve stops. When the game's matter we compete like non other, the only problem is sometimes the fire is lit too late.

Pretty much. This team has done it at home and away all season. If anything, away from home might focus them to not get all fancy and get to work and be more diligent.

Let's go Pens! Here's hoping the lines changed; Iggy is useless(to an extent) out there because of the circumstances.

Let's just hope they can actually cash in rather than miss chance after chance only to let Bostons first real shot in...

I just don't see the series going well if they don't take this game. This isn't a game the Pens can lose and then win the ECF.

Splitting at home in the ECF is "pretty crushing"? My goodness man. It was one game.

I'm really hoping to see Iggy on the first PP.

I would also like to see the Pens attack Rasks feet more when at a bad angle. Time it with a center drive to really make that POP work.

I don't think you beat the B's with a net front... it has to be more about timing.

Let's get a win going tonight!

BTW, has any goalie ever done a V for Vendetta mask??? I mean, that would be freaking amazing (I also nominate Vokoun to be the first if no one has done it before).

That should really help jumpstart Sutter and allow us to win more faceoffs.

they were down 0-2 to Detroit and Wash after 2 road game

going 0-2 at home is a big difference and very tough to overcome

I think we win tonight though.

Different. In 09 we lost two on the road then came home to win two. Lose two at home...then go on the road...completely different.

We just need to get one by Rask. The sooner the better. This team gets frustrated when it doesn't score.

Sid and Kunitz need to pick it up today too...big time. The shots they missed were terrible.

Defense needs to tighten up as well. Scoring will come...defense first.

It's interesting -- but hardly definitive -- that Joe Vitale came off with the regular guys. Usual scratches still on ice

This should make the board happy

Losing Cooke was huge in game 1, he was a beast in game 5 vs Ottawa (just rewatched it), hoping he doesn't go into neutered cooke mode again though.

I'm pretty sure this is a forum that had people saying that the Penguins were in a "must win" situation in the next game when they were leading Ottawa 2-1. Almost everyone has convinced themselves that the Penguins have a terrible shot, can't overcome adversity, and might as well throw in the towel if they can't coast. I still can't tell if it's just that there are a bunch of weenies posting here or if the expectation of/desire for dominance combined with a few bad playoff years has warped perception. We really need to hash this out with Kyle Okposo's sports psychologist over the summer.

Really hoping that the Bruins players are as overconfident as their fans - that game was a hell of a lot closer than the 3-0 score would indicate, and if it weren't for a few bounces going the other way, I think that game ends in a Pens win. No need to overhaul the game plan or lineup, the bounces will even out over a series - play the same game you did Saturday and the Pens come out on top.
