Exactly. Just like Erne's 3-game NHL suspension. He has served that suspension even though he was cut from Tampa after playing only one pre-season game. The suspension won't carry over to next season just because he was playing in the CHL during the games served.

Here's Jo's first post-concussion interview with John Moore.

The internet, where men are men, women are men, and children are the FBI.

Good to see Jo in good spirits and optimistic about these next couple weeks.

ok Libbs............your right....your always right..............prove it show me the rule...i read the rule....exhibition games etc......Monday players for team canada are released from their respective teams in chl and are then members of Hockey Canada........so games when they are away on their CHL teams do not count towards suspensions.... so lets just say ERNE was suspended 8 games so over the next two weeks quebec plays 5 games and during that time frame USA plays 3 exhibition games and all 3 are on nights when the Remparts play...is that his 8 games??? No....this is why the rule is in effect...so that teams cannot add exhibition games to schedules to effect the suspension................o and Libbs...arent all posters anonymous???is your name address and telephone number on here? is your picture on here? Didnt think so!

It might be fun to play against the odds just to see what reactions you get, lol.

Seriously, what deities did we piss off?

Quote:
Halifax Mooseheads General Manager Cam Russell announced this morning that the team will be without several veterans for the next few weeks due to injuries.

Forward Andrew Ryan will miss the next 3-4 weeks after undergoing emergency surgery last night to clean out an infection in his ankle. Twenty year old defenceman Brendan Duke is also out of the lineup this weekend with a whiplash injury and concussion symptoms suffered in Sunday’s 4-1 win in Charlottetown. Defenceman Matt Murphy, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in Friday’s loss to Quebec, is not expected to return to the lineup until after the Christmas break.

The Mooseheads are already missing regulars Jonathan Drouin (World Juniors), Zach Fucale (World Juniors), Nikolaj Ehlers (World Juniors B Division), and Ryan Falkenham (Out for the season after hip surgery).

The Club has called up goaltender Jacob Dempsey and defenceman Brandon Worthen. Both will be in the lineup this weekend in Baie-Comeau tonight and in Chicoutimi tomorrow night.
This month is gonna suck.

Meier/Ciampini - Andrews - Ashley
Ciampini/Meier - Danny - Connor
Shewfelt - Leblanc - Watt
Alcalde - Lindsay

Hardie - Weegar
Lovell - Lussier
Jacques - Worthen

Darveau
Dempsey

The Moose are in for a tough time for the next 4 weeks. Injuries and the WJHC tournament is making our roster look pretty thin.

Hello lottery, lol.

Our only saving graces are that Weegar is still around (thank goodness for the tiny WJC selection camp this year; if they had the huge roster he might be gone too), Ehlers will be back by the 28th, and Murph will hopefully be back for the 28th too. That means we're only this badly depleted for four games.

But with how hot CB is playing, they could catch up to us during this stretch if they keep their roster intact. We probably need 4 points in the next four games to stay out of the danger zone.

I'll be absolutely over-the-moon thrilled if we can steal a point in B-C tonight.

Down 2-0 and outshot 20-3 after 1. Darcy Ashley has concussion symptoms after colliding with Timo.

This is going well.

It should only be this rough for another two games. Ehlers and Murphy should both be back for the 28th, and there's probably a good chance for Duke too. Ashley will depend on what his "upper body" injury is. But we should at least go from having 8 out to "just" 4 or 5.

We had only 3 forward lines on international ice yesterday. There was no way we were going to win. But Darveau put in another good performance, and it looks like Shewfelt might have a Falkenham-like rise on the depth chart. There were definitely a few positives to take from a the weekend.

I almost hate to see him and Watt's line split up tho - I love how hard they skate on the forecheck!

Ashley among trio hoping to return

Quote:
“Ashley’s feeling better, a lot better. He’s itching and antsy to get back to playing,” Russell said in an interview Wednesday.

“Duke’s not bad, he’s more day-to-day. He’s another guy we will evaluate. Right now, he and Murphy are day-to-day. There’s a chance Murphy could be playing Friday and Saturday. We will know more about him by tomorrow.”
Murphy back for the weekend would be a really nice unexpected early Christmas gift!

Quote:
Russell said 2013 second-round draft pick Maxime Fortier has been called up from his Quebec midget AAA club in Lac St-Louis for the weekend tilts against the Wildcats.

“He’ll be in the lineup Friday and Saturday to replace Andrew Ryan,” Russell said. “That’ll give us a good opportunity to see him.
Really excited to see Fortier.

Assuming Ehlers will still be a moose next season.

You guys will have the pleasure of watching him in the WJC next year.

Denmark earned promotion from 1A today with a 4-1 W over Latvia.

Ehlers has been good despite his young age, and also scored a goal today.

Did Denmark officially win the tournament? Or is it not official unless they beat Slovenia tomorrow? Either way, congrats! What a thrill it would be too see Ehlers vs. Fucale (and Drouin? ) in Toronto/Montreal next year.

Yeah, our closest competitors, Belarus and Latvia, can at a max attain the same amount of points as Denmark. And since Denmark have beaten them both, well you know the rest

For the record, even though Denmark have nothing to play for, and Slovenia does, Denmark should beat them. But should and will are to very different things

It will be good to see the U20 back up in the elite, and for the first time they will have a team dominated by repeats from this year since most of our team is built up of 95-96 born.

It will be interesting to see if Ehlers will be allowed to participate in the U18 WJC in April, since Denmark are in the elite group at that level.

Btw speaking of Drouin, Danish media interviewed him today and talked to him about Ehlers and the upcoming WJC.
(They are living & Practicing in Copenhagen)

Sorry for not translating the article, but feel free to skim it yourselves.. Google works wonders

Oh, and don't mind the Danish sensationalistic title.

Thanks for the interview! Google Translate is never perfect, but it sounds like Drouin had some pretty high praise for Ehlers, which is nice. Telling the reporters to say hi to Nik for him was a nice touch too, lol.

The team just tweeted that Duke, Ashley, Drouin, Fucale, Ehlers, Ryan, and Falkenham are still out. So Murphy returns, I guess. Huge bummer that Ashley can't play yet. Cam got my hopes up that he'd be out there tonight, lol.

Dempsey, Fortier, and Brennan Bailey called up.

Tonight's lineup:

Shewfelt - Andrews - Fortier
Meier - Danny - Ciampini
Alcalde - Lindsay - Watt
Connor - Leblanc

Hardie - Weegar
Lovell - Lussier

ETA: Baie-Comeau wins the Hudon sweepstakes. Give up 1sts in 15/16/17.

No it is definitely not perfect

Yeah, he does and Drouin actually seems like a nice kid
