I'd be totally fine with that. That's hardly an overpayment.

in this case, i am not against the one year. give him a full season to prove himself (which is a beneficial scenario for both sides) then go from there.

Curious to see the money value.

It's really hard to gauge how much he is worth. Is Lou generous and give him closer to 1.8 million or did he give him a prove yourself contract like 1.3 million. I'd have to imagine Henrique will get at least close to double Loktionov's and Josefson will get less.

He is deceptively nifty. Like if you pay very close attention to him, he will make passes in tight spaces right onto a guys tape that sometimes it even surprises the players. He makes little plays that go unnoticed, both defensively and offensively. When it was Ponikarovski-Loktionov-Bernier when he got promoted to the third line, he started finding Bernier like that. He'd be along the board and just like pass it on his backhand through the defender's legs right on Bernier's stick in stride.

yep, he's pretty good in tight spaces. Little spetsnaz mastering the close combat.

What was so bad that he said? That Henrique would get twice as much as Loktionov? He probably will depending on what Loktionov got.

He really is nifty....a good word for it. He definitely has some good puck handling skills, and as noted a surprisingly decent shot. He is tougher then his initial scouting reports advertised as well I think.

All in all I really like the kid, he adds youth and talent that we really needed.

I heard on a broadcast that Igor Larionov was his favorite player so I tweeted Alyonka about it all excited and she was like "Yeah, my dad is his agent."

I hope now he'll play wing if asked without getting mopey or threatening to go back to Russia.

Good to hear. I would like to see longer deal, but I guess he can show what he has this season and then stay or go after it.

Lokti has 26 career points. I highly, highly doubt he gets anything more than $950k

Lou doesn't get threatened....as shown on numerous occasions in the past, they're shown the door if they attempt to

Henrique will not get anywhere near 3 million a year. Hell, 2 is probably pushing it

Like Zajac said, Loktionov will probably make less than a million

I think you're in for a shock then. I say $2.5 probably at least. $3 million at most, but his inconsistent play probably cost him more than he otherwise would have gotten. That and the lockout.

Doubt it very much unless it's like a one year deal. For Henrique that is.

I think Josefson will also get a one year two way deal to see if he's worthy of a one way the next year.

I suspect Henrique's deal will be similar to Fayne's.
