only a $862 Lufthansa flight away

Actually that isn't too bad of a price to get to and from Europe

yeah they aren't awfully bad right now, but somewhat brokeass students don't have the cashmoney anyways . Might be able to come over later in spring though. Also I'm thinking about studying in the States next fall.

I feel you.

Had some money for a trip to Dallas during summer, but studying is just way too expensive with all the partying.

Now I decided to open a playoff account. Every month I will deposit a small sum and once we get to playoffs, I will be there.

I can probably buy a house, before I need to book any flights.

I'm crossing my fingers that my brother and I experience no delays on the way down. If all goes according to plan we'll be there for the Vancouver game and the big night.

I'm going..

I have to freaking go to Austin for SXSW for work for a panel at 12pm in Austin. Then I'm going to either fly back or haul ass back in my car for the game.

Ugh fun.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with the banners. Really hope they have new proper ones ready to go up at the same time for the existing 3 guys.

I know they won't, but I wish they would unretire 7 & 8.

Masterton I understand because of him passing away, but Goldsworthy's number shouldn't have been retired in the first place. Plus, he never even played in Dallas. Broten had a good career, but there's no way #7 should be retired either.

If I had it my way, in 5 years, the only numbers that would be retired were 9, 19 and 56.

Agreed. 19 should be retired obviously. I'm off the opinion that you should only retire legends (Pavel Bure is a good recent example) or crucial franchise players that won a cup with the team. I would only retire 9,56 and maybe 26. Goldsworthy's numbers are worse than Morrow's and was only captain for 3 years, maybe an older fan can explain why his number got retired because I have no idea. Neal Broten was great but not a legend, therefore I wouldn't retire his number.

Agreed. I'm still 20, so I can't go to most bars, but if there's a spot in the AAC you guys wanted to meet up, I'd be down.

Is a meet-up thread worthy?

No 26?

I'm of the opinion 9, 26, and 56 need to be. No chance for Hull or Belfour.

I think Jere is right there, and maybe in 10 years, but just because he played his entire career for us doesn't mean it should be retired.

Don't get me wrong, Jere was unreal for us, but I don't think it was jersey retirement unreal.
