Yes but to show your skill and score goals you actually have to be on the ice. That requires a little more work and a little less attitude.

A balance Z never seem to acquire.

I guess you can keep telling yourself that. It's a no more deluded notion than any of the others you seem to be clinging to. Are you going to respond to the legitimate replies to your half-ass assessment of Comeau, or are you trying to make yet another thread about Zherdev. How close to begging on a street corner does Zherdev need to get for you to realize it's all over with him? Move on.

I didn't. I just agreed w another poster.

When the isles give up on you and the calgary flames give up on you, I'd say that's a pretty good indication of your worth.

Zherdev isn't even playing anywhere in the world so I don't think you need to speak of "giving up" if that's still part of your argument.

Pascal Dupuis was given up on by the Wild, Rangers, Thrashers.

Chris Kunitz was given up on by the Ducks (twice) and Thrashers.

Safe to say they've done alright

And when your third KHL team gives up on you?

I think a lot of teams would feel like that term is too long.

Not to mention I think basing absolutely any decisions we make on what Calgary does or doesn't do, http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/at...d=1372784887is probably not a great idea.

Comeau is a scrub and shouldn't be resigned. And while we're at it, trade "stone hands" derek mackenzie.

Deep playoff get contributions from their depth. Would much rather pay a little more for a depth guy with some semblance of skill like rich peverly than keep trotting out bboll, dmac, comeau types. That was my point.

My username has nothing to do with it

It would not surprise me if he were to play before Jenner does. I think Jenner is starting the year in SPR.

That will definitely be one of the storylines in camp this year. You could be right - or not.

I bet Z can get some time in at rec center.

I like Zherdev. I'd take him back. But damn there needs to be some perspective.

Any chance this thread can go back to talking about NHL players?

I've decided I want Matt Duchene on the team. Who's gonna help me raise the money for his salary and then go with me to kidnap him?

It's likely...

However this is a buyers market, with so many teams that have cap issues, and so many players already bought out just to get some teams under the lowering cap, there aren't a lot of teams that are going to be offering contracts for a glut of players. It could just be a waiting game to see who gets bought out and is available come the start of free agency.

Most likely it will be someone younger and perhaps more skilled than Vinny. If not I think Vinny will still be there. I hate to say it, but with the cap going down, teams are going to use what little cap space they have on players in their prime, and guys on the last year or two of playing may have retirement thrust upon them.

So talks aren't just far apart. They're non-existent.
