Coaching discussion? You are preaching to the choir. In fact... I might have built the church. Honestly, I don't even care about DB anymore. I can't literally complain about him any more.

No he would have sat Gretz in the press box and played Tanner Glass...who would have been 1 year old in 1984!

Ottawa lost because they are young, inexperienced and made a lot of mistakes that pissed off our coach. Bylsma has a plethora of talent to work with, but nobody is buying in. One would think that Iginla would be inclined to play his heart out after finding himself in this position... alas.

Give me a break. No team can ever win a Stanley Cup without key saves at the right time. aka Grant Fuhr hockey. The road is littered with teams that have won the Stanley Cup without dominant goaltending. When your offense is dominant, and ours SHOULD BE, then all you need is key saves at the right times. Fleury's been done as a worthwhile NHL starter since the Montreal series. I think the organization has been kidding themselves ever since.

Fleury's had everything handed to him. He's mentally fragile and that won't change until he HAS TO. Perhaps a compliance buyout is the best thing for all concerned.

what are you even carrying on about? Bylsma's flaws have been evident for years. i don't really see what your assessment of the team in Ottawa brings to the discussion at hand.

I love when fans of other teams come to grace us with the knowledge that DB sucks.

Fleury has "stolen the right to play"? Seriously, some folks need to get back on their meds. You'll get no argument from me that Fleury has not played well in the playoffs since the cup run, but once again (and this is as close to diagramming it as I can get, so pay attention): he has stolen playoff games in the past. I do not believe Vokoun has that ability. Rask has shown we are not going to be running the score up on him, so winning a low-scoring contest or two in Boston seems to be the best avenue to go in my opinion. Sink or swim, I think Fleury is the best option for that route.

it strikes me that awesome goalies are more likely to steal games whereas mediocre goalies with zero confidence that havent played well in the playoffs in years are less likely to steal games

Why these pieces of **** games have to start at 8 PM? in my country its 3 AM. Have to leave for work at 5 , so can not watch the whole game. Ofcourse could watch the replay in Gamecenter, but i`m sure someone will tell me the final score before i get to home from work . Life sucks.

Sucks for you guys but for me anyways it's great, that's the time the kids go to bed and I get to watch my game. Wish it was always an 8pm start time

They were all jumbled up according the Pens site, just random rushes. So I don't think we know who's in or out yet.

I forget who but one of the reporters tweeted out that they were running lines like: 14-87-9 24-16-18 10-36-27 15-46-48 and then a special appearance of 19-3-5

But Orpik and the Pens Report said they didn't really run lines, everyone was mixed up, and since a few key guys were missing they were in no way an indication of what we'll see tonight.

Brooks said he doesn't think anyone knows what the lineup will be.

Seth Rorabaugh ventures a guess at the lines:

Quote:
Potential lines and defensive pairings: The Penguins did not skate with a full crew this morning. Consider this a complete guess at their lines and defensive pairings:

9 Pascal Dupuis - 87 Sidney Crosby - 12 Jarome Iginla
14 Chris Kunitz - 71 Evgeni Malkin - 18 James Neal
24 Matt Cooke - 16 Brandon Sutter - 10 Brenden Morrow
27 Craig Adams - 36 Jussi Jokinen - 46 Joe Vitale

2 Matt Niskanen - 58 Kris Letang
7 Paul Martin - 44 Brooks Orpik
3 Douglas Murray - 5 Deryk Engelland

IF this happens, I'm good with the top six, I don't like the lack of Bennett and Despres, and I HATE the possibility of that 2-58 pairing happening again.

If Iginla doesn't step up his play now, I see the right to bash him since he is finally on the right wing!
