Ugly hats. Can't believe the Wings gagged away a 3-1 series lead. Gosh darn it!

Awesome series between the two best teams. Can't say I was really rooting for either team. I was just rooting for a great series -- and that it was.

Hopefully Kenny took notes and realized his philosophy of bringing back old and washed up garbage isn't gonna cut it anymore.

So Chicago's won 2 Cups and the Wings haven't been back to even the WCF in like 5 years. BEST GM AND COACH IN THE NHL!

Honestly, I would have rather we lost to the Ducks than seen that post-season.

We had a ****ing shot against these guys, a better shot than anyone else did.

Really curious to see what the Hawks do next year, crazy how they fell off the face off the earth then came back so strong. The NHL is so unpredictable lately with teams not consistently making it out of the 1st round.

They lived a charmed life while doing it this, year didn't say they weren't deserving. Just think no matter what this year the bounces just seemed to favor them, you need that at times to win.

There strategy is simple. Bring in their prospects to surround their core and boom, another cup run.

Mix in some good FA signings and that is how you do it.

Their core is young enough that they can keep doing this for another ten years.

Good teams create their own luck.

Bad teams talk about how they didn't get any puck luck.

Yeah. This is disturbing; I didn't think it would bug me this much but... so close.

If only Brendan Smith had packed an extra brain for game 6, or Crawford was just a little bit worse in game 7.

Maddening.

Also: Watching Patrick Kane with the Smythe is painful; I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it, he totally does. I just REALLY dislike him and generally root against the guy.

They really benefited after the first cup when they got great value back in trades.

Happy for Shaw. Gave 110% every night. Dropping F-Bombs on CBC right now lol.

If Kenny Holland had not sent down Smith for another year of garbage time in the AHL, Smith would have been a far better player going into the series against the Hawks.

Meh I think it was a toss up. Crawford had great stats but let in quite a few soft goals and the only game that he stole during the playoffs was this game

It definitely stings knowing the Wings were one win away from ousting the Hawks but the Hawks that the Wings beat in games 2,3, & 4 weren't the same Hawks that just beat Boston. If the Hawks had played the Bruins like they played the Wings in the first half of our series Boston would have mopped the floor with them.

No doubt, but it took them a couple years to bounce back. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost Bickell and Bolland this offseason. They're a damn good team regardless, not sure how Crawford will be in the long term.

Well Dale Tallon bailed them out. Didn't they get a couple 1st or 2nd rounders as well?

Bickell is gone for sure. Some team will give him 3.5M+ perhaps.
