Sens Board Forward Rankings 2013 (11th)

Rank the Sens best forwards

Knowing the priority for forwards should be to score goals, who would be our best option? Who is likely to produce the most points this season considering everyone is healthy? Which forward should earn the most ice-time? That's why you have to consider young guys who aren't regular NHL players yet. This is hypothetical, who you think would produce the most if given equal ice-time and opportunity?

I'm not saying don't take all the intangibles in consideration but the biggest factor has to be offense and how they could contribute. If you have 2 guys that you think are about of the same caliber offensively, then you look at all their "overall game"...

The ultimate point of those polls would be to make a list of Sens forwards in "offensive" importance if you were speaking to a fan of another team (not a hardcore fan who knows all NHL players)

I know the 3 forward positions are mixed up in this poll but the depth chart in our view will still be decided by the results...

Sens Board Forward Rankings 2013 :

1. Jason Spezza C 79.10%
2. Bobby Ryan W 83.78%
3. Kyle Turris C 51.43%
4. Milan Michalek W 40.95%
5. Clarke MacArthur W 50.72%
5. Mika Zibanejad C 49.28%
7. Cory Conacher W 49.35%
8. Colin Greening W 41.67%
9. Jean-Gabriel Pageau C 42.62%
10. Zack Smith C 33.33%

Do people even read the OP? Not a chance that either Condra or Neil out produces Stone if he plays a full season.

Going by these rankings, assuming the 12th spot goes to one of Condra/Neil/Hoffman. our lineup would be:

Ryan-Spezza-Michalek
MacArthur-Turris-Zibanejad
Conacher-Pageau-Stone
Greening-Smith-Neil/Condra

Well it's stupid that it's just based on offense. It should be the most valuable.

For example, who would you give the most ice time to to give your team the best chance to win. Or, if you had to pick one forward to play 20 min in a game, who would give your team the best chance to win. That should be the question.

But it isn't.

It's just a confusing poll when the first thing that's said is best player and then the offensive part of the players game is brought up after.

Title: ''Sens Board Forward Rankings 2013'' ---> nothing about offense

Subtitle: ''Rank the Sens best forwards'' ---> nothing about offense

Then only after does OP state it should be about offense. He is saying that, whoever is the best offensive forward, is the best forward. Therefore let's vote for the guy who brings the most offense to determine the best forward.

Well I disagree with that, the best forward is not simply the best offensive forward.

If I were to make my own poll, what should I name it? It's going to have the same exact title or close to it, people are gonna get confused.

I'm still trying to figure out if Pageau's playoff performance was a fluke or not. Not sure what to expect out of him next season at all.

Voted Neil because he will be much more important to the team for next year. I'd rather see Stoner pot 20+, obvious he has more potential than neil.

I agree with you, there are a lot of intangibles that make up a good hockey player & it's not just about points but most people prefer the players who score the most.

It's simply for people who can read...

Like I said before, I used a generic title like for the prospects rankings... In the opening post and in the question of the poll, we can easily see what we are talking about here

This is more the spirit of these polls... To find out who would be the best options to have the best offense possible... And that being said, I really like those lines

You would vote Erik Condra above anyone not named Spezza, Turris and Ryan, maybe Michalek?
