xbox nhl 2k4 or ea nhl 2004?

im looking to buy one of these two games for xbox but i dont know which is better....

if you could i would appreciate some advise from guys or girls that have the games

from what i hear (havent played either YET) 2k4 is a better sim but franchise mode still sucks. nhl 2004 has that goofy arcade feel but a better franchise. I like 2k3 alot but im sure youll get some advice from people here that have the games.

Wow. Pierre Bouchard (my #1 pick in 2006 for the Quebec City Revolution) just got his first $20 mil contract. And thats for one year ^_^. Greedy *******. I'm in year 2014 now.

NHL 2004, now matter HOW greedy the players are, is such a great game.

Umm. NHL 2004 has no arcade feel to it at all for me. I can't even dominate with end-to-end rushes anymore. It's REAL hard to win on anything above EASY mode. It's great. And NO super goalies like 2k4.

I play both, and whilst 2004 is a major improvement over 2003 in every facet including realsim, and is still very arcadey compared to ESPN 2k4.

It depends on your preference for hockey games. I enjoy playing the games in ESPN, because the gameplay is simply amazing, I have never seen such smart AI in a sports videogame, let alone a hockey game. And I enjoy NHL2004 for things such as dynasty mode, and simming seasons.

Overall I feel 2k4 is the better game, because it just plays so much better than 2004, but it does have bugs and issues such as a crappy franchise mode. 2004 has its strong points in dynasty mode and add-ons (pc version). But since you are on the Xbox, another thing to consider is online play, 2k4 supports Xbox Live! NHL2004 doesn't...

2k4 is waaayyy better and the goalies are beatable u just need to create seems in the d with nice passes and try to catch goalies leaning or cheating on an angle and then expose their weakness. In my opinion Nhl 2004 a hockey game made for little girls and old people who want an easy arcadey feel, 2k4 is for true hockey fans.
