He averaged 23.38 shots against per game... M-A Fleury in his draft year averaged 37.40 shots per game. The kid barely had a challenge so I'm saying let's see what he can do when he's not behind a powerhouse team. Typical comment from a fan who thinks people should think of his teams players as perfect in every which way

Edit: Also just went and looked and Fucale only faced 40 shots 3 times this season and only 3 times the season before, one of which he allowed 7 goals.

No way Drouin or Mackinnon comes back.

Jo will get better and stronger and that will be enough.

He faced 40+ shots 3 times as a 16 year old and averaged 29.23 shots per game. You say "he faced 40 shots at least almost every night" when in reality the average says he faced less than 30 shots almost every night.

If you're going to make random statements about a player, back it up. Don't resort to "you take the internet too seriously" like a 14 year old girl on a Celine Dion message board

Welcome, that was pretty accurate to insert Beauchemin on the Titan lineup...

Also Cote will play forward instead of defense.

For the rest, I doubt as of now that the Titan will finish 2nd in the Division as I fully expect the Islanders ahead of us.

If there in ONE goaltender in the Maritimes who proved himself fully in the last two years, it has to be Fucale.

You have no argument in that regard against him.

I don't think anyone is trying to say Fucale hasn't been a top netminder in the division, and in the league, so far. I don't think anybody would argue that up to this point, Fucale has proven himself to be pretty reliable. That being said, if you're not wondering if he can do the same with a weaker squad, you're kidding yourself.

Should he be able to? Sure. He's a fantastic goaltender, but it's at least a small concern.

And yet there are plenty of people (Outside or Halifax/NS) who have a lot of question marks placed beside his name. Go in the prospect sub forum and look at how people posted Fucale as the player they pray their team doesn't select lol

A lot of people, like me, will wonder his true ability until they see him play without a stacked team in front of him. He could literally let in 4 goals and rest assured that his team could easily pot 6 or 7 (See Portland vs. Halifax)

If he was 100% proven the way you guys seem to think he is, he'd be a lock as a top 10 pick with nobody doubting him. It's not that I don't think he's a good goalie or has potential, but I don't think I'm going to peg him the next big Canadian goalie based on a memorial cup win behind a stacked team for Major Junior hockey.

I agree with Adam, you can't say that he carried them to the top, yeah he made big saves when needed but he had a loaded team.

We'll be able to see a lot more after the Euro draft. Will fix that.

I'm curious to see if Dumont will play the same strategy at the import draft - pick the best player available > the best player who will report lol

I doubt it lol. That wouldn't work too well. As long as he gets two quality 96s I think he'll be fine. They don't have to be superstars, just as long as they contribute.

I'll never ever ever ever forgot that draft pick. It confused me so I read the article and they say "We were so excited, he was listed as 5'7" and nobody knew he was actually 6'3" "

Then it turns out he's a lanky kid who can't skate no wonder nobody cared to correct the 5'7" listing

Regarding whether or not Cameron Darcy is actually coming to the QMJHL...

He was just added to CBSE's roster page on their website. Definitely wasn't there on draft day.

Or lack thereof. Hopefully management has gotten their stuff together this time around.

They admitted at camp that they never saw him play and relied on the word of Allan Walsh, Veliky's agent who they figured would feed them a solid player because Walsh is M-A Fleury's agent

That was my favorite story in the CHL across all training camps

Ye. I hope his jersey is retired one day when that team is owned/run by someone with a hilarious sense of humor

What a waste of a high import pick.

Lol well he never played a regular season game so he didn't have a number persay

When he played a per-season game at the forum he wasn't even listed on the program.

Very optimistic! I have my fingers crossed that you're right. I don't even think Deruelle is invited to camp and I'd be happy in Garland got 50+ pts.
